Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Glavvy with a poor first puts us down 2-zip.Bottom 2nd: Wright and LoDuca have terrific ABs for leadoff btb singles, then Easley and Gomez (and Glavine) leave 'em sitting there with poor ABs.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Ah, the should've-been-a-Met vs. the should've-stayed-a-Brave.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Should-have-been-a-Met for four or five years for a reasonable salary. Cer-tainly not for seven years at a ridiculous one.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 There's a tilde over the N in Nieto?
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Kinda wish Gomez would do something good tonight.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Kinda wish anyone would do something good tonight. This has been a pretty bleh game. (As evidenced by all the IGT excitement.)
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Zito outpitches Glavine for the win, 3-0.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 quick and painless loss, if you've gotta go down that was the way to do it.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Worst IGT of the season. Let's get them tomorrow.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 I don't think this loss was painless. It was pretty bland though, even for all the Bonds related nonsense at the park tonight.Worth noting: lots of boos for Guillermo Mota when introduced. Not deafening, but loud. Very few cheers.LoDuca's double was his 1,000 career hit. Scoreboard graphic, nice cheer, tip of the helmet from LoDuca, they took the ball out of play.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 At least I had the Cup Finals to fall back on.Mets got Giggied.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 LoDuca has nothing to be ashamed of, that's for sure.Zito really had his way with Easley and Gomez tonight, that was huge.Oh, and Reyes is going bad, and I'd like to see N.D. hit it a little harder. He did eke a single off a tough lefty, so I suppose he gets a pass. But I dunno why we didn't go with Johnson.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 What a crap game. Did we even get a runner to third?
