While I would like to see Wright take a seat he did have a few decent at bats last night, here's hoping.

We're under way as the Rox hang one on Pelfrey in the first and the Mets respond with quiet.

Ianetta leads off the second with a single.

Wow. Looks like Pelfrey needs some quality time down in N'awlinz to me.

I'm following online, but I'm assuming he's just throwing fastball after fastball. That about right?

We're being pelfed.

I think we're still going to see another start or two. He may well get skipped anyhow.

Well, winning may a tough haul, but let's not no-hit by Phinneus here.

Cool reference. Get that little medallion thingie and let's do the third inning again.

Question: How did those two help Babe Ruth?

I would've thought Sele would be the next to audition for the opening.

I mean, I would've thought that an inning ago.

I think Heilman and Darren Oliver spoiled me, I expected the long reliever to come in and shut things down for 3 innings while we crept back into the game.

Ducks on the pond, David. Now would be a nice time for your first dinger.

Who was it who said that you're going to lose one third of your games and that you're going to win one third of your games, and it's what you do in the remaining one third that determines what kind of a season you have.

I'm content to file this game among that first group and move on.

(The 1986 Mets, amazingly, swept all 54 of the games that are in that final category!)

Somehow, the 1962 Mets even lost 14 of the gimmes.

My theory is that if you're not going to hit, and you're not going to pitch, and you're not going to field ... ya might as well not do them all on the same day.
Today sounds like one of those days even though I don't think there have been any errors (although two bunt hits can't be good).

On the other hand, Green up w/sacks full so the comeback starts now baybee!!
