G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Beltran robbed by umpire at bitter end. So much for the historic comeback.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Ump's got a date. Or at least he wants to eat.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Pretty quick, actually, for a game with 32 freakin hits.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 I'm really glad I missed this mess. Pelfrey should be near the end of his rope and would probably benefit from some time in New Orleans to hopefully get his act together and gain some confidence with a few successful outings. He is obviously lacking something right now. I don't know whether it is the lack of a reliable out pitch, a good second pitch to go with his fastball, adequate control, or maybe some confidence, but something definitely seems to be missing right now. If it were up to me, which it is obviously not, I would likely give him one more start, but if the results were more of the same, then I would send him down for some hopeful retooling in New Orleans.
