stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Got tickets for Sat June 2nd against the DBacks on the DBack dugout. Maybe I can yell at Randy Johnson for dissproving the notion that he still was a CY Young contender as a Yankee and therefore would be an unstoppable force in the NL, which caused me to pick his over-the-hill ass on my fantasy team!

stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Its probably buried here somewhere, but heading to Chicago tomorrow and will be at Wrigley for the FOX Saturday Afternoon Game of the Week on the 4th. Depending on my state of mind, internet connections, and my resizing and uploading skills expect pictures either Saturday night or sometime when I get back to New York on Sunday. If only Glavine could come back on three days rest! Ah well, I'll be watching Maine vs. Lilly. Should be quite a time.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 I assume that Maine will be moved up a day and that Sosa will take the Saturday spot(on edit): I see from the other thread that someone is coming up to start Saturday so you do get Maine.

Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 The left of the screen or on the left of the guy in the heart shaped ear rings?I'm gonna get that Simpsonizer working after dinner hell or high water.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 I'll be there Tuesday for the Pads if anyone's in the house and wants to meet for a frosty beverage of some type. Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Wear your FDNY and NYPD caps.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Edgy DC wrote:Wear your FDNY and NYPD caps.Yeah, really. This year is the first year since '01 that 9/11 fell on a Tuesday. Makes it doubly unsettling. Couldn't have nmore different weather today though.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 When, and how, are they going to stop doing the NYPD and FDNY caps? You know they're not going to be doing it in 2075, so at some point it's going to stop. I guess they'll do it when they sense that few people will care. As we can tell by the outcry about Channel 7 originally deciding not to televise the reading of the names, that year hasn't arrived yet.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Maybe when the memorial opens at the WTC site. They can wear the caps on 9/11 forever as far as I'm concerned. But they need to stop singing the godawful "God Bless America" NOW!!!Really, if the Mets chose to do "America the Beautiful" (a *vastly* superior song) instead of "God Bless America," what would happen? How could anybody complain?
