Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Mets already on the board--ANOTHER 1st inning run.Reyes singles-steals second-the hot hitting LoDuca drives him in with a single.Bases are now loaded for David Wright-no outs.
Guest KC Guests Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Seems like I always turn the game on just a little late and I miss Reyes'first AB and he's standing on first.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Mets Offense, Assemble, Unite and Activate!

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Gotta love when your pitcher gets an AB before he throws his first pitch.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Reyes and LoDuca start off the second with back to back singles.Boy- those two are hot.Nolasco is a good pitcher but he always gets all shook up facing the Mets.Beltan reaches on a bunt single. We got ducks on the pond people.Again.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 I'm getting the broadcast from Florida. There was a commercial for Marlins ticket packages. They don't say that going to Marlins games is "fun" or "exciting" or anything like that. They stress that it's "convenient."No wonder the stands look so empty.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 you getting that on mlb.tv ? i keep getting "playlist format not recognised"
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Another error by the Marlins. But the Mets 5th run is an earned one, a sac fly by Delgado.Again, its Reyes that scores.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Nolasco is pulled for a pinch hitter? In the 2nd?Yikes!Another blow to my BB fantasy life.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Chavez works Pinto for 8 pitches and reaches on a single.Great at-bat.Pinto wild pitches him to second.Lets line up these Florida pitchers and go thru em all.Pinto WALKS Trax--ha.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Another Marlins error--another run.If anyone can color in what happened there please do.6-0 Mets.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Jose Reyes grounds into a force out, third baseman Miguel Cabrera to second baseman Alfredo Amezaga. Endy Chavez scores. Steve Trachsel out at 2nd. Jose Reyes advances to 1st, on throwing error by second baseman Alfredo Amezaga.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Thanx-This is how Sportline writes it up:Reyes reached on fielder's choice to third, Chavez to third, Trachsel out at second, Chavez scored on Amezaga's throwing error.____So the error was on the throw to first.Reading the game leaves alot to be desired.Florida is trying to give us this one.Im not complaining.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 I really enjoy SNY. I know that's small consolation to those of you not in the viewing area, but Gary, Keith, and Ron (who is off tonight) have really done a nice job this year. I just love Gary; he's just a bald guy with a great voice, which gives me inspiration that I, too, can acquire my dream job someday.

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2006 Author Posted August 2, 2006 "Trying to keep cool with the air conditioning"?? You turn on the A/C, it's cool. Go outside, it's not. Easy!

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2006 Author Posted August 2, 2006 With Roberto Hernandez in the game, he becomes the first two-separate-stints-with-the-Mets player since...Roger Cedeno?
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Welcome back Bert, now get one out!
