nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 from mets.com:]NYM: RHP Steve Trachsel (1-1, 4.09 ERA) Trachsel will be pitching on regular rest against the Padres after facing the Brewers Saturday on seven days' rest. He's 6-8 lifetime against the Padres and has never pitched at PETCO Park.SD: RHP Jake Peavy (1-2, 5.50 ERA)Peavy seems to enjoy facing the Mets. He's 3-1 in his career against New York, posting a 3.55 ERA in six games. Steve Traschel should be barred by rule from pitching a game that starts at 10:00PM, who is actualy staying up to watch the whole thing besides me?
Guest ABG Guests Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 I'll try. Chances are I'm out by the third.

Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Can't do that. I only get SNY when the game is on.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 I'm in...fortunately I'm on central time so I get an hour head start...unfortunately Trachsel is the slowest pitcher on the staff, so I still have a fair chance of being up into tomorrow morning.

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Author Posted April 20, 2006 I'll go with 2-2 after 8 mets get the 3rd and final run in the top of the 9th when the padres foolishly pull a cruising jake peavy for a pinch hitter.

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Author Posted April 20, 2006 Reyes leads off with an 11 pitch AB, flyout to left nice job by jose!
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Author Posted April 20, 2006 ...but LoDuca and Beltran go quietly, thus dashing my hopes of raising Peavy's pitch count quickly.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Author Posted April 20, 2006 leadoff triple by Roberts, close play at 3B, pretty questionable to go there with nobody out on Roberts' part.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Leadoff triple. Not good. Can't prromise I'll stay around for the whole thing, but I'll try.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Author Posted April 20, 2006 Traschel K's Barfield for the 1st out with the infield back, he will NOT concede the run (and neither would i against Peavy.)..but giles singles home a run and now its Piazza (#33??)
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Author Posted April 20, 2006 the king of double plays hits into another one.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 D-Wright with a double, Floyd at the plate...come on you Mets...
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Author Posted April 20, 2006 McCarthy on the radio is tearing into the Padres for giving in to the stoopid hitters and moving the fence in 10 feet in right-center.Apparently McCarthy likes pitching.Wright with a double.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Author Posted April 20, 2006 Peavy K's Nady with Wright on 3rd. inning over.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Nady and Piazza both foiled by old teammates the first go around.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Khaleil Greene is the best chick in all of baseball.
