Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 You've got to admit though that the Boy Genius really screwed up signing Wells to 2 years.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 yeah, but the mets didn't do it so it doesnt need to be criticized.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Great to see Cliffy get it going. He hit some balls hard last night too. I hear that, on top of his HR and double, he hit a scorcher that was caught today.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Just watched the replay on TV. The hitting, of course, looked great. But I was surprised how much Zambrano struggled. His ball/strike ratio was awful...and it looked like he got the benefit getting balls hit right at people a few times. For the life of me I can't figure out why they traded Benson and kept Zambrano.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 I can think of a few million reasons.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 CF were you really surprised with Zambrano?,I watched the replay like you and I thought it was a typical Zam outing.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 I read today that the Mets have only been behind in two innings all season, a small sample but that's amazin.....

Plus, with his strong spring, I guess I was hoping for better. But you're right, yesterday was typical Zambrano. Unfortunately.

Does this mean that, until youve made your decision, that I have to turn in my Red Sox cap? Can I still go to games at Fenway? Pretty please?
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 I had promised not to respond to hostility any more. But, to me, you spend an awful lot of time over here for a Red Sock fan.
