Hey, this might mark the 2006 debut of Julio Franco's glove.

OK, I'm calling it: Diaz to right, Nady to third, Chavez to left, and Franco to first. Sorry, Beltran, we've already burned Valentin.

Thanks for reminding me that I am actually at work.

I want Wagner to pitch the ninth.

OK, 10 run lead, two innings left, now it's really time to empty the bench.

Julio is in for the 8th, so you might get your wish.

Wow, Elster's right... the ESPN GameCast is way better. They totally f'ed it up last year, so I got addicted to the Sportsline version; but this one's neat. Looks like they rebuilt it from scratch; very fancy.

Hopeful Julio will start to turn things around.

ooh 97. i know i am supposed to get excited about real pitching, control, speed changing, that sort of thing, but still, 97+ still impresses me.

The upper right corner says it's the Beta and there's a button for feedback right below. I left them some nice feedback.

It even shows the path of the ball with each ball in play. Cute.

No no. I really think he continues with the general flow of this game. We don't want him turning anything around in this position.

I was never real keen on Oliver making the team over Feliciano, but after Oliver's hit, I looked up his hitting stats...eventhough I think of him as more of an AL pitcher than NL pitcher, he's got a .228 career batting average with 2 seasons of having 17+ hits ('99 had 20 hits with 4 extra basehits; '03 had 17 hits with 3 doubles and a HR)...he can do long relief, can spot start, can swing a bat...he's kind of a LOOGY version of Pat Mahomes...

We needed a blowout.

This is good.

Woody at 1st, Hernandez at 2nd, Diaz in Left.

Julio continues to struggle. Nick Johnson takes him deep.

the one Johnson just hit out probably went faster off the bat.

Read back a few pages in this thread. I told you Johnson was a pain.
I haven't liked him since he was a Yankee.

No love for Franco? Move Woody to 3B or SS and give Franco an inning at 1B.

I mean, rilly.

Ho, hum, way things are swinging, maybe Franco is pitching the ninth.

Jorge is definitely looking to launch Operation Extended Spring Training.

Well, Julio gives up 2 extra base hits, but also doesn't walk anyone, strikes out 2, and only gives up 1 run.

Julio's # of runs allowed/Appearance
1. 5
2. 2
3. 1

It's progress, right?
