nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 They can score though, the bullpen is solid enough, and they get to beat up on Pittsburgh and maybe the Cubs decimated team. They also play Houston and St. Louis alot so they should get handed their asses plenty of times.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 There's been a lot of troubling stuff, but I've seen worse west-coast swings.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Keep in mind that the Reds are coming off a sweep of the Nationals --- unowned and hapless --- capped by a one-hitter featuring eight innings from Bronson Arroyo. Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Despite our hiccup in St. Loo, we still find ourselves in first place, 2 ahead of the Phading Phils and 3.5 ahead of the surging Braves. After tripping us up, the Cards now have the best record in the NL, but the Mets remain the only other team playing .600 baseball. The funny thing is, if I were in a coma from spring training and woke up today, I would be thrilled about where the Mets are. Which is odd considering how crummy I feel today. Maybe it's because it could have been better...maybe it's because I think we'll have our first 3 game losing streak when Unit squares off against Gonzalez tomorrow. I don't know. But if nothing else, I guess this standings thread makes me feel a little bit better. First place. Not a bad place to be.
