Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Jacobs down on 3 pitches. Gary & Howie think major league pitchers have him figured out. I'm glad Mientkiewicz is back.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Author Posted September 1, 2005 Glavine did his job. 127 pitches, 7 innings, 2 runs, 3 hits, 4 walks._____________________________This post was made under the designation 166) Pete Schourek
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 And Diaz goes down swinging. 98 pitches through 7 for Lieber. We suck.
Guest KC Guests Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I think it's time to go out and get some sun, maybe kick a few things.
willpie Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Can't see it (at work), but this does not look so good. Sigh.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 According to Sportsline, the toss victim was bench coach Milt Thompson.RMTFotD (Random Milt Thompson Fact of the Day): Milt finished 17th in the NL MVP voting in 1987 with the Phils, and then 17th again in 1989 for the Cardinals.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 ="KC"]I think it's time to go out and get some sun, maybe kick a few things.this must be a typo.should read:="KC"]I think it's time to go out and get some runs, maybe kick Phil ass.Unite and assembleIf hernandez does his dooty we only need a bloop and a bam and we are back in it.(so far he's not tho.1st and 2nd and Burrell)
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Author Posted September 1, 2005 Pat the bat refuses to swing, and strikes out after watching five pitches. Two out._____________________________This post was made under the designation 166) Pete Schourek
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 saw a replay of the Reyes triple. We all know he's fast and all, but that was sick. His feet werent even touchin the ground. He looked like a gazelle.Damn, he can fly like no one else

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 damn. They run Urbina out there again.Didnt think they would. This may be a good thing.lets see
willpie Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Why is Cairo hitting for Hernandez? Did Woodward die?
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Anderson strikes out looking. It's retarded that we haven't called up any of our AAA bench players.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Fuck you, Gary. Every fucking time, with the "He hits it deep!" and every time it's an out.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 "Why is Cairo hitting for Hernandez? Did Woodward die?"Anderson hit for DeFelice (and K'd). Cairo was on deck to hit for the pitcher IF Anderson got on (presumably so he could bunt) but was recalled for Offerman when Anderson didn't get on.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Urbina sucks the wind out of my sails.gotta keep it 2-1 and get to em in the 9th.Shame Reyes closes the 8th.Beltran: time to earn your keep
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Author Posted September 1, 2005 Wagner looming. I'm lonely and depressed._____________________________This post was made under the designation 166) Pete Schourek

The Reyes fly out was high, and in the sun, but not relatively deep.Micheals(CF) was playin him rather shallow, and did have to go back.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 FUCKIN LOOPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!howard homerthat had to be wind blown.Looper cant even do the holders job.Cripes
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 We clearly don't want to win.I mean, Glavine fucked up a sure double play ball in the first, leading to two runs, and our batters (outside of Reyes) have had largely pathetic at bats. We're swinging too much at first pitches and letting a guy with a 4.81 ERA dominate us.And now Looper gives up a dinger to Howard.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Well, at least we played ONE meaningful game in September. Not that I'm completely conceding the game, mind you, but a few of our guys will have to pony up if we want to come back and win it. Beltran & Floyd are our most likely candidates out of our first three batters, but Floyd's been pressing lately and Beltran's just really inconsistent these days.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I dont even understand why Loop started this inning.Ya have these call ups and all have their roles, or should have, and if we held em and did something in the 9th we' need Loop on the other side.So he can blow the save situation, lol.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Fran can stop plugging those "Pennant Race Pack" tickets, this was a tough series.

Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Well, Looper got out of the inning.I don't mind using Loop in that situation, actually. What I don't get is replacing DeFelice with Castro. Why take a bat off the bench?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Once you get to the 9th inning at home there's no longer going to be a save situation. So, unless you're under the impression that one of these call-ups is less likely than our supposed best reliever to give up a run, then you're decreasing the odds of coming back by bringing in someone other than Looper.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 a walk to start.nice.Wagners fastball is gettin up to 98mph
