My mother always feared that I'd become one.

D-Wright strikes out as Cliff steals second.

I have a pronounced lack of energy.

On 3-2, Wright strikes out on a slider out of the zone as Cliff steals second.

On 3-2, Jacobs pops up to Rollins.

At least we're working the counts better.

Diaz grounds out, but apparently in a manner that was exciting for Gary.

It's actually getting less dissapointing the more it happens. I'm of a mind to send Gary a copy of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf." At this point, I probably won't believe his next home run call . . .

Diaz gets a late break on a Michaels fly ball but recovers to make a nice catch.

Abreu grounds out to first.

Utley flies out to Beltran to retire the side. 56 pitches through 3 for Glavine.

Lieber's at 26 through 2.

Does anyone think that DiFelice could possibly get a hit?

Not really. I think Glavine has a better chance.

At least Glavine made contact, but I wish he'd taken a few pitches first.

First pitch swinging AGAIN, Reyes hits it to Michaels, who boots the ball. Reyes with a single, to second on an error.

In a huge spot, Matsui takes 3 pitches for balls, then a strike, then pops it up to the infield.

I'd STILL rather have him out there than Cairo, though.

Lieber's a model of efficiency. 36 pitches through 3 innings. At this rate, he won't hit 100 pitches until 1 out into the ninth.

I think it was Wally Backman, batting right handed, in a day game againstthe Expos in Jarry Park (Maybe Olympic Stadium). He pulled the ball down the left field line for a double.

Glavine with his second 1-2-3 inning. 72 pitches over 4.

It's like we're not even trying.

Beltran & Floyd down quickly.

Wright with a chopper past Rollins. Two-out single.

Is anyone watching TV? Are the players looking subdued?

Jacobs grounds out to end the inning.

Michaels grounds out on the 12th pitch of the at-bat.

A 1-2-3 fifth for Glavine.

This game is so blah.

I have it on, I almost fell asleep. I woke up like Pavlov's dog when that Corona
commercial came on with the woman in the black bikini.

Subdued? No. Wright has taken some pretty uncharacteristic swings at stuff
outside with his butt flying around a little. Floyd beat the shift on his hit. De-
Felice, oh never mind.
