Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 10:31 AM Posted Thursday at 10:31 AM Day Game Alert!! 1:10 get-away-day start. Christian Scott vs Hunter Dobbins Dobbins [26 y/o, R/R] was an 8th round pick by the Red Sox in 2021 out of Texas Tech. Made his ML debut in 2025 and made 11 starts. Was traded over the winter to StL for Wilson Contreras and this will be his 4th game/2nd start this season. So far 4 ER allowed over 13 innings. Only 10 hits but also 7 BBs Let's see if our hurlers can hold the Cards to under a touchdown in this one.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 12:31 PM Posted Thursday at 12:31 PM Won't matter, because there's no way we hit this guy.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted Thursday at 02:55 PM Posted Thursday at 02:55 PM There is some seriously depressing baseball happening around the DiamondCentric network. Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 05:20 PM Posted Thursday at 05:20 PM Good job, Bichette, but no way have you earned the right to stand and admire a homerun.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 05:31 PM Posted Thursday at 05:31 PM Homers are raining from the sky. Also, Winn's double was not only foul, but I'm pretty sure he didn't touch first.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 05:34 PM Posted Thursday at 05:34 PM Fuckit, I want this game to end 20-18. I want middle infielders pitching. I want to set a home run record today.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 06:21 PM Posted Thursday at 06:21 PM Those early homers have only made the chasey Mets chasier.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 06:47 PM Posted Thursday at 06:47 PM Mets even it up. Hard to say what was ugliest — Soto's hesitation, his running, or his slide.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 06:56 PM Posted Thursday at 06:56 PM Mets going right to Minter in the tie game despite three idle days by the under-utilized Raley.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 07:02 PM Posted Thursday at 07:02 PM But quick work by Minter and strong defense behind him put the Mets in a good position. If folks could stop swinging out of their shoes.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 07:04 PM Posted Thursday at 07:04 PM Gotta get Duarte into this game soon so we can send him down afterward. MFS62 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 07:18 PM Posted Thursday at 07:18 PM Mets still looking for their first walk on the day.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 07:25 PM Posted Thursday at 07:25 PM Need to protect a one-run lead for six outs. If we see Duarte, something has likely gone gravely wrong.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 07:28 PM Posted Thursday at 07:28 PM MORE HOME RUNS PLEASE
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 07:31 PM Posted Thursday at 07:31 PM That's three outs. Tacking on would be glorious.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 07:40 PM Posted Thursday at 07:40 PM okay no more home runs now please Edgy MD 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 07:45 PM Posted Thursday at 07:45 PM The recent lack of circulation for Williams is unsettling, but he's got his change working.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 07:52 PM Posted Thursday at 07:52 PM Mets win, one more win to reach 30, only two other teams in the NL, Giants and Rockies are under 30 win teams like the Mets
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 07:54 PM Posted Thursday at 07:54 PM Hey, look, we keep losing the first two and winning the third one every time? We'll still suck, but at least we'll end each series with high fives across the infield. It's all about winning the emotional battle, watching the other team celebrate before you have to pack up.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 08:34 PM Posted Thursday at 08:34 PM The problem with apathy, is that the losses don't hurt as much, but the wins aren't as glorious. Yay Mets.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 10:46 PM Posted Thursday at 10:46 PM Attended today in Section 414. It was, as Buster Poindexter liked to say, Hot, Hot, Hot. Ball was flying , as the 5 HR's would indicate. Getting blown out in the previous two games meant the good part of the bullpen was fresh. Soto kind of Cadillac-ed it around the bases on his homer, but that's why you pay him $51 million a year, I guess. And the Mets soccer jersey was cool. It's even adult-sized, unlike many things they give away. Attendance was sparse (school not out yet, a day game during the week, and did I mention Hot. hot, hot?) But a good day all around. DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted Friday at 04:14 PM Posted Friday at 04:14 PM Decided to go at the last minute and snagged a seat for $5---and proceeded to watch the game from the concourse where there was some shade. Enjoyable day at the park. Very sparse crowd, no lines at concession stands and the good guys won. MFS62 1
