ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago The Mets will win to screw up this streak whippoorwill 1
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Assad has been bad. Peterson and the Mets have been worse. i can’t believe I actually thought they would win today. I fully expect a loss to finish out this sweep.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Let’s hope the friendly confines of Wrigley Field turn friendly. lGM later
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Peterson out. Not injury related. Tobias myers will start the game.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago 7 games back , wake the hell up, I have faith in you Myers
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago The Mets have out-hit the Cubs 21-19 over the first two games of the series while being out-scored 16-4. They're also leading the series in 15-10 in LOB, a figure which doesn't include the seven baserunners they self-erased via 4 GiDP, 2 CS, and once getting caught trying to stretch a single into a double. Just sayin'
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago And one hit didn’t register as a hit because Alvarez failed to advance.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Mets are so bad we have two IGTs going
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Yeah thats bullshit. This is why we're losing
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Hey, we have baseball! And we have a four-pitch walk to begin Tobias Myers first start!
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I don’t understand anything in Benge’s recent performance that suggests he should be leading off.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago It's temporary until Soto returns I would guess

You can't bump everybody down in the lineup. When a lineup where nobody is doing well gets shaken up, somebody ends up with the lucky draw.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago So the Mets are not going to hit this scrub pitcher?

He’s mid 400s for the past 7 days, past 15 days and past 30.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Of course he has an opportunity to shut me up right here.

That is all true, but I'm sure Carlos would tell you something about giving him a different look, see more fastballs, a chance to utilize his speed, etc. When there are no good answers that are working we get bad answers and hope. And if you aren't going to win, you might as well try to give a rookie's development priority. It's all bad, but these are the calls managers make when the lineup is doing what it is doing, and multiple threads are speculating about their job security.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 58 minutes ago Posted 58 minutes ago Let's hear it for the old 4-5 double-play!
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 57 minutes ago Posted 57 minutes ago Nice! The Mets catching a break for a change.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 43 minutes ago Posted 43 minutes ago Maybe I was expecting too much, and maybe I was too spoiled by Iglesias, but I’m not impressed by Semien turning 2.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted 37 minutes ago Posted 37 minutes ago The Melendez legend continues.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 33 minutes ago Posted 33 minutes ago Not to look a guest homer in the mouth, but that's the Mets 16th HR this year ... 12 have come with bases empty. And, no, it only seems like 3/4 of our plate appearances have come with bases empty. It's actually a mere 56%
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 26 minutes ago Posted 26 minutes ago Good job by Peterson. I don’t remember the last time the Mets came to bat with a lead.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 24 minutes ago Posted 24 minutes ago Luis Torrens pulling a ball is, like, a bi-monthly treat.
