Mendoza is on the hot seat. Still I think play it out and no playoffs fire Stearns and let his replacement decide on manager. I know we continue with "it's still early" argument but these losses count as much as losses later in season.

He allowed one run on a Walk - Sac Bunt - IW - bloop infield single - K - F9 in his last outing. It was the only run he had allowed this season. Today was his 2nd run/4th hit over 8 appearances/7.2 innings.

He also has a 2.23 ERA/0.9 WHIP in 37 games since his return last season. iow, we have bigger worries than him right now.

and multiple long losing streaks in the past 100 games or so are indicative of some serious organizational failure.
