Trying to carve a home for himself in the MAGAsphere, but no longer a big enough name that an operative is just going to carve it out for him.

But if you don't watch out — and if you don't find it in your heart to give him the love and relevance he misses — he's going to smack you in the side of the head with a book/podcast/reality show or the like about how communists, Muslims, blue hairs, and trans athletes are destroying everything that was once good.

I just read the whole thing.  This is exactly right.  Especially the part about the hopes of a comeback.

This poor guy felt like nothing his whole life, then his arm gave him his identity.  And just like this his arm is gone, and his identity with it.

The lure of MAGA is alluring for guys like Noah.  Deep down, I'm sure he's a good guy.  Just lost.

Put another way.  If you asked Noah Syndergaard if he thought Somalis were "garbage people" I'm sure he'd vehemently disagree.

And then be shocked that the President whose hat he wears had said such things.

Tragic story. Poor guy is bored to death, clueless and has no confidence--perfect formula for a 4th-rate celebrity MAGA stooge
