I like the Mets City Connect uniforms a lot. I'm not sure I'd put them with the others with the three initials since the city name actually has three initials as opposed PGH, WAS, CLE and the like.

I'd put the Mets in the top tier of these things. I like the bridge on the cap, and that they kept the traditional NY logo on the cap. Glad they stuck with the white pants, since some of the others started with color pants and eased back to white.

Just my opinion, but my top tier would be the Marlins, Mets, Nationals, Cubs, White Sox, and Rockies with the white pants. My bottom tier, with the soon-to-be-replaced Dodgers, Giants, Rays, Cincy and Padres.

The Yankees take themselves a little too seriously. They could have done something that didn't stray too far, like the Cardinals and Angels did.

Mets needed more pops of color than the Nike logo. It looks pretty drab as is. Don't like that bridge hat either.

I like where a team has the balls to step out of their established colors and go for it like Boston did. San Diego really looks like Mexican convenience store.

The "new" Dodgers CCs are launching today I think but leaks all over. Looks pretty good

Makes sense to me. There's a fair amount of subjectivity to all of this. One of the big complaints about the Mets CCs is that they went with NYC on the shirt front instead of something more "Queensy".

I'm not sure I agree with that. That'd alienate the other boroughs and "Queens" has a certain connotation that many would find somewhat distasteful. Or if not distasteful, then certainly an aura of LOLMets.

After seeing the new Dodger City Connects, I can say at least they are better than the team's first attempt at it. Lots of funky elements in there, like the number above the team name on the front right, and the name below the number on the back. I don't like the cap logo much.

i feel like the dodgers shoudl lean HARD into the hollywood motif!

even if you're not gonna throw some dodgers letters on hollywood hill (or whatever its called) have some damned art deco theme, golden age of hollywood, walk of fame, searchlights and gala opening details.

GLAMOUR, FAME, MOVIE STARS!!!! los FUCKING angeles, damnit!

Yeah. Here's a better pic of the Dodgers CCs. So you could see what those unis actually look like.

I know that this is all supposed to be fun but I think it's contrived and for the most part, ugly. The unis are forced and stupid. I see the league forcing the players to look like fucking clowns all for another money grab in the name of something else. It's always something else even though it's not. It's always about the money. I'll stick to my original comment: It looks like the league got Homer Simpson to design all these CC unis.

Is that an "05" on Freddie's jersey?

No reason to put the number up there btw. Uni is too heavy up top.

Also no reason for the Dodgers ever to be wearing a home color other that blinding wedding gown white

I don't much care for the concept of city connect uniforms in nor the execution of them. Most of them are ugly as sin. Give me the Mets white w/ blue pinstripes any day.

It's a little late in the day to ask, but ... canst anybody tell me what the explicit mission of the City Connect jersey movement is?

Is the existence of the program a tacit admission that most MLB uniforms are largely un-connected to the culture their team's city?

They're fun and harmless. No one is forced to buy one.
