IGT, 2024-04-02 (now 2024-04-03 [now 04]) - DET @ NYM - Tuesday (now Wednesday [Thursday]) Night (Afternoon) Mets Club

Something's gotta give, or maybe not, as the 0–4 Mets host the 4–0 Tigers, forcing the Mets to break the seal on Adrian Houser. (Yes, thank you, he is sometimes called "Doogie.")

The Tigers counter with former number-one-overall-draft-choice Casey Mize, who hasn't pitched in almost two years following Tommy John Surgery, but that's just given him more time to pursue his culinary side hustle.

Casey has a long way to go to be the best Mize in major league baseball.

I remember Johnny, the power hitting first baseman of the NY Giants, a member of the 50+ home run club.

Yeah, there certainly isn't much case for going with Wendle for another night, any more than there's one for returning McNuffles to cleanup.

We're ankle deep after two days of rain here in Baltimore. Still falling.

Yeah, Detroit was so unwilling to take it seriously that they took forever to post a lineup. But going ahead with the game is far less about Is the weather going to be OK? and far more about When exactly are we going to get Detroit back in town for a game?

Detroit is playing Zach McKinstry at shortstop, so maybe we can trade for Javy Baez again.

Here too. We have flood watches and they're serious this time.

Maybe it's not as bad in NY?

As someone who's been in the city and then had to get cab out to JFK I can not believe there is any hope of this happening.

Find it hard to believe the outfield is going to be playable or is that covered in some shape or form

That they are somehow playing in Philly as we speak may give them a bit of hope.

Not that the weather doesn't suck there too: 47, windy and wet. (Ronnie and someone calling the game on TBS)

Trea Turner just mailed a throw from SS about nine feet over Harper's head leading to an unearned run for Cincy.

1-1 thru 3

Have you been to Dublin?

Weather was especially nice on Sunday and grand all other times apart from today!

I guess someone closed the window.

They have to make it early on Thursday because the Tiggers have their home opener on Friday afternoon.

Mets have corrected Thursday start time to 1:10 PM.

12:10 will be the first pitch for the doubleheader after tomorrow's game is "banged".

This seems likely to me, if the NYC weather is anything as dreary as it is up here in the 'Cuse
