a prospect that will amount to nothing because most Yankee prospects do

This moron realizes that a 1980s “one that got away” for the MFYs actually made the baseball HOF this past summer?

Actually you can apply “most…prospects do” to every franchise. But it is easier to wait out a Boras client's contract year than it is to fork over a recently replenished farm's trade bait pieces in the hopes that the benefit of a fire sale can turn into a Mike Piazza, who, IIRC, did not actually file for free agency!

Oh FFS

Slow down, Junior. I already have a savior, and his name is Trump.

I must say I admire that he made the effort to make a Jorge Lopez instant reaction video , for Jorge Lopez no less

"We can work with this, we can work wit this, forget about that it's not important". The MLB The Show scouting report is the way.

I just looked up Fred McGriff. I only remembered him as a Blue Jay, but he played almost as many games with the Rays (only one fewer game than in Toronto) and more games with the Braves than anywhere else. I don't remember him as a Brave at all; I'll have to file these facts in my head for future Immaculate Grid reference.

December 9, 1982: Traded by the New York Yankees with Dave Collins, Mike Morgan and cash to the Toronto Blue Jays for Tom Dodd and Dale Murray.

Boy, that's a bad trade. Dave Collins (I remember him!) had a couple of pretty good years with the Jays before moving on. And Tom Dodd (???) would be released by the Yankees before he ever played a game for them. Years later, he would appear in eight games for the Orioles. And that was it for his big league career.

And Dale Murray had a better stint with the Mets than he would with the Yankees, so there's that too.

Of course we don't care , I'm just posting some of the more dumb and nonsensical Mets tweets

Very unlikely that he will even sniff Wright in any of the important rate stats, though yes if he stays relatively healthy he will end his met career with 30% more plate appearances and therefore catch Wright in many counting stats.

I kinda of read this as Lindor being considered the"best" ever Mets infielder , like more than just numbers

I tend to think of corner infielders and middle infielders as being in different categories. If we compare him to just middle infielders, his main competitors are Jose Reyes and Edgardo Alfonzo.

What could this mean ?

Hopefully, it means that free agent rumors are heating up.
