Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 The rotation for the Braves series is going to be deGrom then Scherzer then Bassitt, according to Anthony DiComo. This means that deGrom could be available to pitch the final game of the season in Queens against the Nationals on Wednesday, if the Mets need to win that game. (And if that happens, he wouldn't be available for the Wild Card series if the Mets were to end up there.)

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 (edited) Despite all the prognostications, the weather at game time is now supposed to be clear and 70 degrees. Edited September 30, 2022 by Guest
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 Francisco is wearing No. 50. He's on the roster at the expense of Darin Ruf, who's on the IL with a "neck strain". Alex Claudio was DFA'd for 40-man purposes.

Probably hurt it looking over his shoulder repeatedly to see who was coming into the locker room aiming for him with a big metal hook

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 Britton is not prone to anything, it's hard to find a blander beat writer. The almost worst case to this series is like, Mets have to win a short series with two of the absolute best pitchers in baseball. The last series of 2007 and 2008 were more important. '99 and '00 too. Even if they won 1/3, they still control their own destiny for the division, and hell, they'd probably still be favored to win it. It's a huge series, but let's not get crazy here. I doubt it's even top 10.
