Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Taijuan Walker meets Adrian Houser, who I googled and verified is a pitcher, in a day game. 2:10 start.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 I dig a 2:10 Wednesday start as I work from home Wednesdays and normally take a 1-2 PM lunch break siesta. So I shall wake up and work and watch baseball. Also that way I do not have a conflict with watching AEW Dynamite pro wrestling with Fboy on Wednesday nights as it's on live from 8-10 PM.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 I hope Marte comes back soon.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Hey, they've won six in a row with this lineup. It takes 25 guys. Or 26. Or 28. Or whatever.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 National at Braves is underway. Here's surprise for ya'll -- Atlanta up 1-sniffle after one.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 2-0 Braves now. It seems pretty clear that no one is going to beat the Braves unless we do it ourselves.Anyway, win today first.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 We couldn't expect much from the Nationals, but the Phillies really could have done better.

And yesterday's and so onIt's not a bad lineup considering we're giving Canha a rest. Still the deepest Metly bench I think we've seen in a couple of decades.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 2 - 1 Braves, end of five
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Marte tested his finger on September 19, and reportedly, it was still hurting enough to compromise his effectiveness. He expresses opty-mism that he'll be ready for the Braves series. In the old days, up until this year, they could just let him float as an active member of the roster, occasionally getting pinch-running or defensive opportunities.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 And yet even more urgency added to Marte's return.Still 2 - 1 in Atlanta, leadoff batter on for Nats in the 7th
cal sharpie Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Been busy til now. What happened?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 (edited) Nimmo grabbed his leg coming in for a fly ball.Didn't look real bad but yaneverknow. Edited September 21, 2022 by Guest
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Interesting outfield alignment with Canha in center and Naquin in right.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Meneses: 2 run homer for Washington. 3-2, top 7
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Braves end the 7th w/a K/CS DPso they're going to the 8th 3 - 2 Nats

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Hey, a bigger base would help the defense on that play.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Nats out quickly in top 8
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Thinking healing thoughts to Brandon Nimmo, hopefully he's just tight
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 I feel like we should wrap the Mets starters in bubble wrap and store them away until the playoffs begin.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 It's the super-draining fields that cause outfielders to get their knees jammed into divots. Somebody's gonna tear up a leg on one of those plays.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 (edited) Nimmo: "Left quad tightness" Edited September 21, 2022 by Guest
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Nats done take the lead. PASS IT ON!And they lock the eight down with William Contreras getting thrown out at third!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Braves strand runners on 1st & 3rd in the 8thStill 3 - 2 Nats
