Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 I was thinking that hitting to right, where Betts was struggling with the sun, may have been the best bet. Silly, but it worked.TIE GAME!!!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Tempted to pinch-run here.Tempted, but ...
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 He's fouled off a lot of balls four, but each too close to take.

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Diaz is ready for the 8th against the top of the Dodger order. It's the right call.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Your 2016 Florida State League batting average champ, at your service.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Vesia is welcome to start everybody 2-0 forever.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Shoulda taken a strike, Nim. This guy was getting gassed.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Bringing Diaz in for the 8th is about as good a move as I can remember the Mets making in years. Let's see now if it pans out.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Yeah I'm interested in this too
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Breezed Mookie pretty good, but it worked. And he gets FFF, too.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 That was a strike? I think Trea got hosed.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 You know, I'm starting to think the whole thing about Buck Showalter having a Yankee taint was a little overstated.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 I'd stay with Diaz until circumstances said otherwise.
