batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 Fair enough. So well break up Bob Dylan's output into 15 different bands. Or 20.. And I'd wanna listen to any of them any day over Aerosmith.

I saw them once on the "Black and Blue Tour" with Dio-era Sabbath. Aerosmith was my third concert. We met Jimmy Crespo, who replaced Perry, at an in-store appearance in a stereo store. It was not well publicized, and I bet there were only two or three people there besides me and my two buddies. He was not pleased, but it did stay for a little bit and signed my copy of Night in the Ruts, which he ghost-played on for a song. I did see that "Rock in a Hard Place" tour. Had to go all the way to the Meadowlands, which was quite the adventure at the time.Twisted Sister is a great American band. ZZ Top, too!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 If asked for my favorite band I'd check if they meant band or just artist/singer. And if the answer was band then I wouldn't include the likes of Dylan. So while I didn't start this topic, the qualifiers were band and American, thus rendering much of your original list invalid.p.s., I'm not picking Aerosmith either
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 Y'know, this Medina guy looks OK but, surprisingly, is neither funky nor cold.

Because if I have permission, put me down for the band that recorded Dylan's Bringing it all Back Home as one of my favorite bands.

Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 Oh, Dom! Flailed at a bad pitch there!
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 Oh nice rip. 7-5, 2 out 2nd +3rd
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 It's now up to Zimmo. They've had 6 hits this inning
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 Tying run on 2d, down to last out. Mets batted around in 9th.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2022 Author Posted May 5, 2022 Holy crap, should I take the dog back out?
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 This is the type of game that would make Bob Murphy utter a mild curse.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 Last coupl'a seasons, you'd figure the Mets would blow a six run lead in the 9th.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 Edgy probably logged out, all fed up with the music crap.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 If good Diaz shows up the Phillies shan't recover this season
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 Naturally I tuned in just in time to see Marte's RBI hit.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 I shut the game off in the eighth and was getting ready to call it an early night and I figured I'd check the score to be sure the game was over. Holy crap.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2022 Posted May 5, 2022 We missed most of this game because we were busy but picked it up when it was 7-3 in the 9th. Just in time for the good stuff.
