G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 We're starting a Walker (Taijuan).It's not in Texas.They're starting a Ranger (Suarez).6:45 PM from Philadelphia, on SNY.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 I lo-o-ove this thread title, Yes I do!
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Ranger Suarez is a fat, lefthanded Venezuelan who was a middle reliever, closer and starter for the Phils last year, turning in a 1.36 ERA when it was all over. Had visa issues and an abbreviated spring so they'll probably limit his pitches.Does anyone know what we'll get out of Walker?I'm declaring this a Big Game.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Not expecting much either. Getting back to back decent starts out of Carrasco and Walker feels like a stretch.Rangers has turned into a serviceable SP.Lets see the Mets come off the deck after losing to a team that has pot pourri as a logo on their uniform.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Nimmo CFMarte RFLindor SSAlonso 1BEscobar 3BJ.D. Davis DHCanha LFGuillorme 2BMcCann C
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Canó, McNeil, and Smitty sit vs. the lefty, but Guillorme gets in there.I wonder how long it'll take for Buck to repeat a lineup.
cal sharpie Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 JD Davis still hasn't played the field. Escobar has played a bunch of second in his career, they could have given JD a game with a glove and left Guillorme on the bench where he should be.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 By tomorrow morning and into perpetuity, this evening's matchup will be known as the Guillorme Guame.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Unless JD hits a three-run pinch-hit Kaboomer to win it. Stay tuned...Is this really a 6:45 first pitch or is that like when coverage begins?

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 I'm really liking Escobar.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 You've heard of F-Bombs, the Philly 3Bman is dropping E-Bohms
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Strange to say, but I found myself rooting for Bohm on that double-play.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Nice guest appearance by Ken Rosenthal.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 And this game tonight is on FS1 for those who don't have SNY access.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Mets not tacking on and letting the Phils hang around.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 This thread needs more traffic.I love the Phanatic as much as the next visiting fan but ... who signed off on this craziness?https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2022/04/screen-shot-2022-04-11-at-8.37.59-pm.png>
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Peterson star of the game thus far.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 When was the last time a Mets team could win by playing better d than the other guys?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Peterson just struck out Harper looking, but when the ump blew the call, got him on a slider swinging.Pitching like a man tonight. A manly man.
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Did Walker get hurt? Looks like Peterson is doing well.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Not particularly helpful for the infielders to converge for a mound conference in a bunting situation if the thirdbaseman isn't paying attention.[FIMG=600]https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2022/04/screen-shot-2022-04-11-at-8.47.52-pm.png[/FIMG]

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Great job by McCann sliding in for run #4 just ahead of Harper's throw, but I was thinking that it was a good time to pinch-run.
