I don't see that Zack Scott is in the same category as Callaway and Porter, unless he has a documented history of DUI or DWI. Even if there's a record of him being an alcoholic (and I have no idea if he is or isn't) are we saying that alcoholics are ineligible for employment?

In retrospect, it would seem the the clues were there with Calloway and Porter, if you were willing to pursue it. Maybe, however, we'll find out more about Scott's background that the Mets might have missed, as we go forward.

Unless he WAS actually still with Cohen and partying and other players/people saw him there, we probably won't hear about where he decided to spend that time. Asleep at an actual intersection probably means he wasn't asleep for hours or anything. I don't see any strip clubs in the area (anyone know where he lives? was this like, the last 5 blocks? because otherwise seems unlikely he'd be on that street without having been local.)



There's a "speakeasy" real close to where he was snoozing. open until 4. Pretty sweet cocktail list, with fun names like purple panties(gin, butterfly pea blossom, elderflower, lemon, prosecco), well slapped arse, daddy issues, grounds for divorce, filthy animal..





Of course, it could've easily been something more illicit and underground. Booze is the Occam's Razor answer, but we only know he failed the field sobriety test.

Nah, I think he absolutely should be eligible for employment here or elsewhere, but this demonstrates some lousy judgement and will be the #1 reason he's not retained.

Sure we will. Those reporters whose work you so often devalue will be on it, he's got to appear in court, and at some point the org will know the debts, even though they will attempt to keep them under wraps. My question was only had it come out yet, not will it come out.

It's not a criminal trial. He may never actually see a courtroom. It's not like they're going to piece together his day and put up evidence. His whereabouts or how he got to that intersection are not even relevant. At best, you'd get a "were you under the influence?" "no" "Cop, was he under the influence?" "he failed the sobriety test, could not walk a straight line, etc" Court finds in favor of the city of white plains. $1000, license revoked for 6 months. NEXT.



Any nobody really knows who the hell this guy is, so while it's possible, it's unlikely some random bartender is gonna be like "yeah, Scott was here, drinking heavily!" And even if he did, so what? he was drinking, we already kind of suspect that. If it's anything illicit, even less likely they're gonna come out and be like "yeah, that dude was doing meth with me!" (seems unlikely it was a simulant of course)





If it happened with the Mets/Cohen, we'll probably find out something more eventually though.

And credit to Ceetar, I hadn't even considered asking bartenders along the route between Stamford and White Plains. But there couldn't be too many for a gumshoe to get to.. finally, I'd suspect he probably wasn't alone,, some Met guests we know traveled by bus; but did all of them?

the drink driving thing ... I'm sure people still do it here but it really has become socially unacceptable to have more then the smallest drink and get in the car. It's a bit more prevalent down the country but there's no way anyone in Dublin would drive to a party and have 3/4 drinks (let alone enough to make you fall asleep) and drive on home.

Don't get me wrong it USED to be very common (my grandfather for example, back in the 70s when he went to the golf club nobody would have batted an eyelid at them having best part of a bottle of wine or a few whiskeys).

Is there ever any random testing done on the roads there? We get it a lot particularly around Christmas. I also don't understand why someone who can clearly afford it doesn't just get a fucking cab/driver.
