Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Only six innings left in this one.Walker got a little squeezed there.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Are the Buckets at the game? I think I just saw the Pail on SNY.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Guillorme may be Wally Pipping JD at third.

And he's still got 7 Ks through 3. But it's getting us MUCH closer to the irregulars making an appearance.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Shit PA for Alonso there
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 In a 7-inning game, shouldn't the arbitrary requirement of 5 innings for a starting pitcher to get a win be lowered?

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Wait a second. What possible reason is there to have a 7 inning game? This is idiotic.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 I think the concept is that with shorter games the players won't be around each other for as long which lessens the risk of Covid. This is contradicted by split doubleheaders (the Mets currently have 3 scheduled) which requires the players to be around each other even longer.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 i don't like this. I wouldn't take Walker out now.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 In a 7-inning game, shouldn't the arbitrary requirement of 5 innings for a starting pitcher to get a win be lowered? And anytime a pitcher retires the first two batters in the game, he gets credit for a quality start.OK I made that up
duan Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 i just think Castro is going to come in undercooked and give up a 2 run double.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Walker seems capable of losing the zone a little too easily. I don't much like it either but we typically have put ourselves in a poor position
