And once again fails to get the ball out of the infield.

At least he made contact though.

Only six innings left in this one.

Walker got a little squeezed there.

Walker is getting squeezed all day, every day. And he's still got 7 Ks through 3. But it's getting us MUCH closer to the irregulars making an appearance.

In a 7-inning game, shouldn't the arbitrary requirement of 5 innings for a starting pitcher to get a win be lowered?

Wait a second. What possible reason is there to have a 7 inning game? This is idiotic.

I think the concept is that with shorter games the players won't be around each other for as long which lessens the risk of Covid.

This is contradicted by split doubleheaders (the Mets currently have 3 scheduled) which requires the players to be around each other even longer.

And anytime a pitcher retires the first two batters in the game, he gets credit for a quality start.

OK I made that up

Walker seems capable of losing the zone a little too easily. I don't much like it either but we typically have put ourselves in a poor position

Yeah - hard to figure how he goes from dominant to all over the fucking shop in 5 minutes.
