Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 and Walker hits into a DP.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 I have a question...and if I missed a discussion on here about this, go ahead and tell me to RMPL. Were the reflective orange "NY"s on the batting helmets there last season or are they new? I didn't see enough games in 2020 to know for sure.It might be a subtle change, but the traditionalist in me finds them distracting when it catches the light directly.
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Not hitting with runners in scoring position is a personal choice

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 This Marlins pitcher has been on borrowed time all afternoon.
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Considering how much the umpire is squeezing both guys, it's a little surprising that nobody's put anything across so far.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Villar should've picked up the bat shard and thrown it at the batter.

LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Formosa never broke off the mound to field a dribbler like THAT

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Hey, old sailor, cover your nose and stop breathing on Steve Cohen.
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Detwiler's giving me that Assenmacher/Guetterman throwback long-lefty-longman vibe.Lefty Specialist wrote:=LWFS post_id=60087 time=1617907006 user_id=84]Considering how much the umpire is squeezing both guys, it's a little surprising that nobody's put anything across so far.Walker seems to have noticed. Was talking with the umpire as he walked off last inning. Be respectful, Taijuan.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 How did this nibbler make it to the fifth without a run scoring?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Well, damn. That should have been better than it was.
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 JEEZALOU. Dom's done nothing but sting the ball today, and the softest one he hit is the single.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 damn. that should have been a double
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Walker better go nine or they're losing this game.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 I guess the Marlins aren't prohibited from hitting with men on base.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 I think the ghost of Neil Armstrong is going to be passes that Miguel Castro is stealing his nickname of First Man since MC seems to always be the first man up these days.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Don't lay down, dammit. These Marlins are 1-5. Be better !
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 If the control stays-- and Rojas doesn't use him in every single fucking game-- we have a SERIOUS find in Castro.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Even at 20% capacity, you can hear the boos.
