Man, that 2006 team broke my heart. I was just thinking about Aaron fucking Heilman and YFM this morning.

That loss in 2006 wouldn't have been so bad if it had been followed up by a championship in 2007. And/or in 2008. But those two seasons made it even worse.

Yeah, in 2006 the team seemed so good that it felt like they would be contenders for years to come. When they failed to return to the playoffs in the ensuing years, it hurt more that they seemingly lost their one chance.

Yes. I'm convinced the end of the 2007 season took years off my life.
