Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 Pretty disappointing first year on balance, and now a year older. Robby says the HBPs ion the hands were a bigger issue in his first half suck than we might have known at the time and like a lotta guys he was better in the 2nd half. The hammies I'd guess would continue to be an issue though, as will range and D, doncha know. So, what do you expect?

No, wait, that is the guy we traded for him.I'll predict a whole bunch of time on the DL and "small sample size" for stats.this... and after his 3rd trip to the DL, he goes on a coke-fueled, self-destructive, downward spiral during a road trip and gets shot in a bar fight in Philly. Or, you know, maybe not. But a tragic and premature death is the only way we're getting out from under his contract.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 maybe he can get put on the "David Wright Plan" where insurance reimburses Wilpon for his contract but that money doesn't get funneled back into payroll?
