Our team isn't playing but on Tuesday night, I am all about the Brewers. The game is in the glorified AA-stadium called "Nationals Park" before the disinterested, front-running, baseball-stupid, Nationals fans who only hope that the wi-fi is working and the game is over before the Metro closes at midnight. 7 of the 11 writers in The Athletic pick Washington to win this game.

It's Max Scherzer for Washington and Brandon Woodruff for the Brewers (he beat the Mets twice in '19, April 27 and May 3). Go Brewers!!!

The Brewer's surge started when Yelich went on the IL.

So, obviously, he is not that crucial to the success of the team. *

If BVW is the smart guy he thinks he is, he can make that case and get Chris for the Mets.

In the meantime, Go Brewers!

Fuck the Brewers. They're an American League team that sleazed it's way into the better circuit and still hasn't wiped the snake oil salesman taint of Bud Selig off of it.

I've been to DC several times but always managed to miss Ben's Chili. Am I missing anything good?

My house... I'll think of something else but Edgy's right, below, about Ben's.

It's chili. It's good and greasy but not too greasy. You won't feel duped but neither will it change your life. It's just, like, the last black thing the gentrification of DC has left standing so its sentimental value is enormous. Ben Ali, I think, was from an Indian family, but he grew up in the Caribbean and went to Howard U., and his restaurant is the sole remnant of what DC formerly called "Black Broadway" down on U Street.

Obviously, you'll get better fare at the U Street location, but the ballpark stuff isn't a great dropoff from there and it's reasonably priced with fast lines.

Bring your cholesterol pills.

I hate the dumb Nats and their dumb fans. Go Brew Crew. Scherzer putting up a turder just shows who the clear Cy Young winner should be.

The Milwaukee fans gave the racist, homophobic, pitcher a standing ovation when he returned. They didn't forgive him. They didn't begrudgingly take him back. They gave him a standing fucking ovation.

I suspect that scene sticks in the minds of minorities more than the average white fan.

Just spent three days in Milwaukee for work. It's a nice city. Stopped by the ballpark on the way into town to take photos and pop in the team shop.

Saw s game in old County Stadium years ago - and have one of the stadium seats.

I like the Brewers much more than the Nats. But I don't think either is sticking around long.

Minority: they gave the racist a standing ovation. Assholes.

White guy: I was just there. It's such a nice city. Go Brew Crew!

Good work to get the walk from Hader. But, well... were I a Nats fan-- and if I were, granted, I'd be a very different dude-- I would much rather see Rendon up here swinging than Soto.

Uecker (listening on radio) said the Taylor HBP night have been wrong call but not enough video evidence to overturn.

On the subject of dumb fans:

- why do folks in the front row feel the need to stand up during tense moments? You do realize that it causes everyone else to NEED to stand up simply because you choose to!

- I saw a lot of ($10?, $15?) beers going airborne following the Soto hit. It you're that anxious to throw away money, heave a few bills in my direction, will ya.

I'd have a real tough time criticizing anyone for standing during a playoff game. Even if they're in the front row.

He's struggled in the last month, and not just against us.

Brewers can do something here against Hudson with a little patience, I think.
