Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 We'll soon see if it's Sewald-proof.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 It is indeed. Libros!!!
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Good win! Especially if some of those other scores hold up!
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 PIrates just put 4 on the board v. WSH, lead 4-1 bottom 8.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 The one thing Paul Seawald didn't want to see was Mickey being forced to get someone up and warming.Nice to see that he made sure that didn't happen.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2019 Author Posted August 20, 2019 Amazin all around. Enjoyed the "mvp" chant when Alonso was up
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Alonso's having just a magical season, but at this point, the MVP's a two-man race between Bellinger and Yellich, no?
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Superb game to attend. A few too many Tribal fans, but they didn't have much to cheer about. Lotsa Met energy, though. A wave started late and it wasn't even grating. As seen on TV, Alonso, even when not homering, is a ribbie beast.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Even in my absence the Tuesday Night SHaMs Club keeps rolling. We are incredible on Tuesday this year especially since April

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Terrific game to watch. I love that they had good at-bats even against a quality young pitcher. Such a fun game.Lots of people will see this score and think it was a lopsided game, but how important were:1. The strike 3 call on Bieber. Could definitely have gone either way.2. Justin Wilson's 2 strikeouts. Must have balls the size of Saul Katz.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Fboy and I enjoyed the hell out of this one on TV last night. Fun to watch them 1) get the big out and then 2) get the big hit after an error left the door open. It's what good teams do.
