I get that too. But I think it's unavoidable with the new seat positioning. Angling the seats down the line to face the pitcher means guys who didn't give up a week's pay don't have to spend the whole ballgame turning their heads to the side and looking past the guy sitting next to him.

It's early and all, but the middle relievers are gawd-awful. Kimbrel isn't fixing Seth Lugo or Luis Avilan.

Kimbrel also isn't signing on to be the third choice among relievers.

A large part of the reason he's still unemployed is that he went into this thing insisting on a six-year deal.

I'm sure circumstances have caused him to rethink that somewhat but I doubt he's morphed all the way towards middle-man/single-year territory.
