MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 When I was in high school, my friend and I would go to the bowling alley on Northern Boulevard in Bayside on Saturday mornings. MFY left hander Whitey Ford was often there. He bowled with his right hand because he wanted to "protect" his pitching arm. I wonder if pitchers these days share that concern.Later

Among the items on display were some magazines of the time that had Robinson on the cover. One of the magazines (don't recall the name of the mag) included a headline that said "$1,000 REWARD FOR ENDING JIM CROW IN BOWLING". I'm curious to know more about that. Who was issuing the reward, and what was the criteria for collecting it?

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 Bless Piazza's bleached tips, I can't tell if he's got more of a Sum 41 / NOFX / Warped Tour vibe, or if it's more of a nu metal/buttrock pastiche like Puddle of Mudddd, Staind or the biggest of the big dogs, Nickelback.
