It's early and he's young, but I'm starting to worry that Rosario isn't all that.

Rosario is still raw. Has speed but doesn't know how to steal bases. Makes a great stop on a ball then throws it badly. Needs to learn plate discipline. These are all fixable things. The talent is certainly there in flashes. He'll get better. It's a bit of an indictment of our minor league system that these things weren't addressed at a lower level.

And a bit of an indictment of our major league team that we couldn't give him more time to work out those kinks in AA or AAA rather than at Citi Field.

fans were absolutely killing the Mets last year for not getting him up earlier. it's funny.

took his second walk the other day.

Sometimes you need to get up to really take that next step though. I mean, when everything is an eminently hittable meatball in AAA it's not always easy to learn to lay off them, nor is it always productive. If he could get back to that 8% he had in AA that'd be nice.

I begin to worry that it's been a month, and our ostensible ace-- the guy who's supposed to give the bullpen a day off every thurs or fourth start-- can't actually make it through a lineup more than two-and-a-half times, owing to pitch count.

I like our bullpen, but I worry that we'll need at least 1-2 more swingmen in the pen to bear this load.

I worry that K-rate tends to stabilize around 65 PA, and that Yo looks like he's a windier Old Pujols (40% strikeout rate) after about 90 PA thus far.

Bruce, surely, and Conforto, maybe, are in for slumps rivaling the worst we've ever seen of them.

Boy did Conforto look inept last night.

Other than Cabrera, none of our regulars are off to that good of a start. And we have the best record in the National League.

My biggest worry? That our record will keep Dom Smith in Vegas longer than he needs to be there.

He’s either not good or not ready. I hope it’s the latter.

Seeing Albeis and Acuna light it up from day one got me even more frustrated about Amed. Perhaps he's just a slow build.

6-9 since the win streak. They haven't won two in a row since it ended.

Two and a half weeks of crappy baseball. Question marks all over the place in the rotation. Offense has been inconsistent. I worry that the hot start has allowed folks to get complacent about the real issues facing this team. We can't afford to go useless catcher-Rosario-pitcher over a third of the lineup. We need actual rotation help. Gotta get another lefty in the pen.

It worries me when I read the Yankees might pursue Thor and or DeGrom. I realize it's a NY paper and for all I know it could be just some reporter stirring the poop pot but it makes me wonder how big of a yard sale the Mets could have

Rosario free shirt friday is the 22nd. Is it fair to worry that they'd keep him and his .619 OPS around until then? I mean, he's gotta get sent down doesn't he?

To keep Reyes here even longer? I totally agree he's not helping us right now, but (a) we don't have better options and (B) I don't think he's more likely to learn in Vegas than here.

Yeah, who will replace him is surely the big hole in my argument (it won't be Reyes).
