No, the idea was that all folks voting, if even it it's just an empty ballot, should click "I VOTED" because that way we'd (in theory) have a meaningful denominator with which to calculate percentages.

Because the polling system stinks in this regard.

Yeah, I hated what he did to the Mets on the field, but I always got the sense that he played the role of the heel with a wink, that he was just having fun with the whole thing.
