  1. Familia gets the ninth with a 2 run lead. What happens here is very important.
  2. So the gold in the Royals uni is just for this series. They will go back to blue right after. Cabrera looked especially bad there at the plate. Still 2-0 Mets.
  3. OOO, I think I'm gonna like Henderson. Dispatches them in order with 2 K's. Nice snap to his slider. Nice rise to his heat.
  4. If I see another clip of the Royals jumping around celebrating last years WS win I'm going to have to cancel my subscription. Let's see what Henderson can do for us out of the pen.
  5. That's all for Thor. Man, what a pitcher we have here. And next up in NY should be deGrom, who I think is even better. These are the days folks.
  6. So I didn't yell at d'Arnaud, just gave him a snooty look.
  7. [bigpurple:2nmky5zw]YEAAAAAAAAA![/bigpurple:2nmky5zw]
  8. Yea, give him ALL sliders!
  9. Shit. Thor's first walk of the game loads em up. I don't want Hosmer beating us so I'm good with that.
  10. Cain ropes one to right and its 1st & third for Hosmer, the king of RBIs VS New York. And I have to look at that blotched K and I'm getting geared up to yell at d'Arnaud.

  12. Captain Wright's first hit of the season. Do you think always poking the ball to right and right center would alleviate overall season stress on the back? Less torque on contact? David steals second. Second SB of 2016. A little surprising and also relieving. Gah! Cespedes Ks.
  13. WAkBOOM! 2-0 Mets Gary is so attentive to the commish.
  14. There seems to be no problem with Wright's feilding. Nice play there. And I did see him go almost overhand in the opener, more like the old days.
  15. I think that opening ball thing was pretty kool. 5 miles? I always used to have a catch on the way to Shea. I'd get in on that if the Mets did it.
  16. Oh, like Columbo says, one more thing. When I saw Volquez in the 1st inning I thought: Oh, they added a little WS crown to their caps. Isn't that special. (later revealed as a ST cap worn in error-what happens there-a fine?) And right away I thought that if the Mets go all the way this season they should have crowns on their caps above the NY in 2017. And the Mets will go all the way again someday. And when they do I will design that cap.

  18. Mets Guy in Michigan wrote: I think I would rather have Conforto in the field and Cespedes as the DH. I want to agree but there's the problem of Lagares not being able to make catches that were so easy for him a few seasons ago. This came up with my brother as we were watching the game and I thought it was something to consider.
  19. I think Mendoza was good but I have to admit that hearing a woman during play by play will take some getting used to. Not saying it's bad by any means, but it's new and strange She had huge tracks of land, which Fman touched on in his schtick, which is just that, a schtick. How anyone could get offended from Fman's schtick, which he has been doing for more years that I can remember, is beyond me. I didn't say this during the IGT because I don't wanna clog it (the game drama is enough 4 me, thankyouverymuch), but loosen up folks. Baseballs back! My brother had a problem with Mendoza talking from the perspective of an ex-player. He's like : "She can't say that, she never played baseball. She played softball". I played both OF and inf in softball for many, many years. Now playing the infield is different for a slew of reasons but playing the outfield is pretty much the same, so I defended her. I had no problem with her using it as a source of experience. But my bro said " NO! Playing the outfield in baseball & softball is like night and day. She can't be talking like she's played the game." I think that was something she wanted to drive home to us, that she does know the game from playing it, and I can accept the softball analogy. Apparently some won't.
  20. I think I did it right. I got a green page after submission. Would it be possible to have a running tally on the side so we can see when we hit ten points? Sometimes last second considerations require a redistribution of points.
  21. There were two pitches in the ninth by Ward Davis. The one to Wright, that perfect up and in dart, and the curve ball that locked up Cespedes for strike two in his at bat. Two better pitches you'll never see. To me it came down to those two pitches. I'm not going to worry about Wright at all until I see a few weeks of 2016 baseball. I think he'll get up to speed.
  22. Yikes. The pictures don't help. I'll wait and see which puts out.
  23. Fman99 wrote: The Mets lost. I was sad. Haaaaaa Not an excuse but the home plate ump was unbelievably awful and that box thing didn't help him. Dave may not be up to speed yet. The second pitch that at bat, I thought he was almost there. And that last pitch...well, shit, that was a perfect fuckin' pitch. That was threading a needle up and in.
  24. Ewww. I might not be likin' Asdrubal.
  25. Rockin' Doc wrote: Walker gets in another run with a "productive out". Mets playing Royals "small ball" this inning. I like the way Walker ran hard. I think I'm gonna like him. Not as a boyfriend yet, though. I don't want to jump into that.
