  1. I like the Indian crying guy from the pollution commercial on the Santos card. Interesting touch.

  3. Follow the auction here. Or bid! I'll chip in fiddy bucks. https://goldinauctions.com/mobile/lotdetail.aspx?inventoryid=22289&seo=2001_mike_piazza_historic_post_9_11_home_run_game_

Amazing no one was hurt. Not complaining. I like to see players go all out. If he made that catch it would have trumped Jeter's (was that in postseason?). Jeter's was legend-massaging bullshit. He caught almost in fair territory and launched himself after the catch. Here's the way you do it. J0HAM85t5zE I never saw that play by Wright before! Excellent! Thanks I see that Jeter play like once a week, but I had never seen Wright's. So your point is well taken.

  6. PLawecki gets a multi-RBI hit, and then gets thrown out at 2nd. "...but he dies a hero." - Howie.Josh Lewin on Plawecki's hit: 'He's OUT but he dies a hero!' Excellent.

  8. CHEESEnCRACKERS! Score a friggin run already!
  9. uh. I thought that was a run for sure. 1st & 3rd, no outs.

  12. It is easier to just type it. Now this is the time you boo. You boo the whole team as they pack it up for the clubhouse. A wasted performance by Thor. No big hits. Henderson lets me down.
  13. Ceetar wrote: we're tying too much to that one home run. There were nearly 100 jerseys on the field that day. That this one object of memorabilia of the hundreds or thousands of items that exist in the Mets possession over the last 15 years found it's way elsewhere is in no way surprising or embarrassing. OOOooo, I beg to differ.

Edgy MD wrote: The problem is that a good season for Walker is somewhere around what a bad season for Wright sits. I'm in no hurry to move on from Wright. Nor am I blaming any small market mentality for any reluctance the team might have from doing so. Just so you know, I'm in no way advocating for Wright to be moved to first base. I just wanted to confirm that Walker could play third. I've been concerned about David's throws for some time now. But he has looked fine as far as the bending & catching (even bare hand). I think all he needs is a few adjustments to his throwing, if that's possible.

He has to start throwing the ball like we throw a frisbee. That's my advice. Pass it on. I was being positive, getting to ball and all and looking like hisself. I knew that, sorry. I was continuing a thought from another thread, about his throwing. I didn't want to go get it and quote myself. And I don't mean throw it like a frisbee (across your chest), I mean throw the ball and compensate for the tail. Like throwing a wiffle or trackball. I think he does do that though, on routine plays, but when really rushed he don't. Right Ronnie! A bloop & a blast.

  20. I don't think today's fans know the proper time to boo.
