Turns out that 40 is a lower bar than I feared it might be and the likes of Brett Butler or Tony Phillips would satisfied the NYM square and I could have been more daring than choosing Piazza, Mays, and Robbie Alomar. I had a left handed reliever for that! Which got me a 0.05
  3. Very pleased with this one! ⚾️ Immaculate Grid 230 9/9: Rarity: 14 IMMACULATE! 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 Play at: https://immaculategrid.comhttps://immaculategrid.com @immaculategrid x @baseball_ref

For the NYM pick in that category I almost got too cute by picking Steve Chilcott before remembering that he never reached the majors and so would gave been rejected. Dennis Ribant for my NYM/PIT netted me a 0.07% score I found out by putting Mark Mulder as No1 draft pick for the Cards rather then the As...

  13. "January 19, 2021 Pittsburgh Pirates Traded RHP Joe Musgrove to San Diego Padres; New York Mets Traded C Endy Rodriguez to Pittsburgh Pirates; San Diego Padres Traded LHP Joey Lucchesi to New York Mets and San Diego Padres Traded RHP David Bednar, CF Hudson Head, RHP Drake Fellows and LHP Omar Cruz to Pittsburgh Pirates." What a strange part we got to play in that trade.
  14. =Fman99 post_id=122840 time=1681896991 user_id=86] I'm glad this one was played at an absurd hour and that I witnessed none of it in real time. Probably for the best.
  15. =Fman99 post_id=121359 time=1680613405 user_id=86] I think when 2023 wraps up you'll see a bunch of guys like Carrasco did yesterday - who never figure out how to adapt to the pitch clock. I'm not saying Cookie can't right it, only that there will be some dudes who never do.
  16. =nymr83 post_id=121358 time=1680612378 user_id=54] Spring training was the time to sort it out, but I don't know that he CAN sort it out - he mentioned it was a fatigue thing, that he felt he didn't have time to recover during/after two long innings
  17. I think it's fair to have it as a 'it got to me' issue - but you then need to have that sorted for next time out. Fact of the matter is the pitchclock has made baseball WAY WAY snappier and a much better game.
  18. We have a gig on tonight with the wonderful Academic so I'll miss the first hour or so but I should be able to catch the rest
