Come on SNY, there's only so many times I can watch a Damian Easley home run to win an April game against the Rockies as a "Mets Classic". I wonder who holds the rights for those game shown on SportsChannel and WOR.
  2. I missed that game the first time around. I'd love to watch it end to end.

Geezus, AlBilly's "creepy sun baby" made an appearance in that thread, as well. Coincidence? Just read through that thread , the ending sucked but the thread was great.... Damn, Soupcan told me to fuck myself?!?! you were a little curt with him though. Yeah, that was harsh. Especially coming from Soupy.

I can't imagine that that the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles based in Sendai are going to be able to play any home games any time soon.
  7. Pelfrey looks like he could be a GI in WWII. Just photoshop a helmet on his head.
  8. Fonzie '99 for second base.

  11. Why aren't they wearing Mets' colors?
  12. Yogihurt! Yoghihurt! I hate Yogihurt! Even with Strawberries! Sorry, first thing that came to mind
  13. Remember your first game? How excited you were? Of course I do, because it was the Steve Henderson game.

Wait, I thought the Nets & Devils played in the Meadowlands next to the Giants & Jets. Is there really 1.5 miles of parking lot between the two buildings?
  15. Ad copy by MFY-lovin' douchebags for sure.
  16. I'll be back as soon as I find the answer on the web.
  17. This is the type of archive I dream of working with: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/09/sports/09archive.html?_r=3&emc=eta1 I thought this part most interesting: Officially named the John Miley Sports Broadcast Collection, the archive of recordings spans 1920 to 1972, when sound recordings, according to the library, were not protected by federal copyright law. So it turns out that the only reason many of these recordings are preserved is because some dude was recording off the radio. Imagine what would have happened had a gotten a cease & desist letter back then.
  18. Like many articles in The Onion, that went on way too long, but the premise is pretty funny.
  19. A blog with hand-drawn picturesof every member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Nifty factoids as well.
  20. "Sandy and Jose" would make a great title for a 70's-era folk rock ballad written by, say, Kris Kristofferson.

  22. Here's an option I hadn't considered before.
  23. A bad owners rogue gallery needs this Hitler supporter.
  24. Sandwiches. Particularly, peanut butter, banana and honey, sometimes with oatmeal often served in a wrap.
