  2. Frayed Knot wrote: Have we reached the point now to where there's a new Spiderman movie once a month? Seems that way to me. I feel that way about Transformers movies. It's like they've become a monthly magazine.
  3. "Uh, Mr. Stark, I - I'm actually feeling much better!"
  4. Watched this with my son when he was very young and didn't yet comprehend things like marriage and death depicted in the movie. "Where's his friend? Where did she go?" Me:
  5. Maybe you're sane and have a modest income?
  6. I don't get to the movies much these days. My children don't like watching movies for some reason so I don't even get to see the kid-friendly movies. Looking through my list of movie reviews, here are the 2018 releases I saw ranked roughly from best to worst: Eighth Grade Won't You Be My Neighbor Black Panther Avengers: Infinity War Ant Man & Wasp The Incredibles 2 Pandas - IMAX movie at the aquarium Zombies - Disney Channel Original Movie, comically bad
  7. And the boy who appears at the end of Camelot is Thomas Malory, author of the Arthurian tales collected in Le Morte D'Arthur. I've always liked that touch.
  8. So has met fairy. I noted on her Facebook review the irony of having a highly-talented actor portray a lousy manager.
  9. Heh-heh, Monkeyballs. Haven't seen the movie
  10. The Great Chism!

  12. One of my son's friends has an entire wardrobe featuring the image of Lightning McQueen. My son is fond of Buzz Lightyear himself.
  13. I could've sworn it came out last winter. Of course, the way they're doing reboots these day maybe this is the remake.
  14. Didn't this move come out months ago?
  15. The end is moving, inspiring, et al, but all the same I couldn't help thinking "So, the king made a speech, big deal. There are people dying in Poland! Edgy DC wrote: Helena Bonham-Carter is his kind wife, who I suddenly realized 3/4 of the way through the picture was the Queen Mum herself. Did you realize that Colin Firth's eldest daughter is now Queen Elizabeth II? I kind of wonder what it's like for that young English actress to portray the current Queen.
  16. Vic Sage wrote: i have a raging hard-on for Claire Danes. So all bets are off. Vic Sage / Willets Point similarity score rising.
  17. This thread is killing me.
  18. I think that Sandler actually may have the talent to pull off a classic comedy if he can escape all the sophomoric stuff. Or maybe I'm just overestimating him.
  19. Yeah, I got more laughs out of that movie than I ever imagined it would/should deserve.
  20. metirish wrote: love my pitching , just that they need to pitch a shutout every night. So you're managing the Mets?
  21. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: How is it they keep making boxing movies ... It is interesting that the movies about boxing remain popular even as the sport has tumbled in popularity over the past generation or so.
  22. Vic Sage wrote: i liked them both, mostly because i too had contempt for the Gen x it was (probably falsely) portraying. It reinforced my prior notions about the generation that came after me, in an amusing way. I would likely hate them both, however, if i were of that generation. You have contempt for my generation? Whatever, dude!
  23. One was in Seattle, the other was in Texas, thus one had more sunshine than the other.
  24. Is that the one with the mime who talks too much or was that Reality Bites.
  25. Jaws is great because it's not about the shark. The makers of the sequels never got this.
