1. I only just discovered that this is 471 minutes long. It may be a while before I have nearly 8 hours free to spend with The Beatles.
2. I'll get to it sometime, but my viewing time is limited right now.
3. To answer my own questions: Players traded to AL teams are marked as "NA" for "not available." Players trade from the AL to NL do appear as free agents.
4. Weird question? As this is a NL only league, what happens to players who got traded to AL teams like Anthony Rizzo and Craig Kimbrel? Will players who got traded from the AL to NL show up as free agents?
5. Edgy MD wrote: Wow, I didn't know you ware making reference to an official list. I didn't either, until I searched for "Honorary Muppets."
6. Edgy MD wrote: Who else gets honorary Muppet status? John Denver certainly. Maybe Rita Moreno? https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Honorary_MuppetsHonorary Muppets. John Denver should really be on this list.
7. The fact that Barry Gibb continued writing and producing number one hits for other artists well in the 1980s is proof that the record-buying public were suckers for Bee Gees music even after the anti-disco backlash.
8. Hey, don't pretend for a moment that I put any work or research into this thing! I earned my 6th place status the honest and lazy way!
9. I don't know anything about Paul Williams beyond his honorary Muppet status.
10. Sign me up! You need someone to clean out your cellar.
11. Everyone and their kids are welcome for the 2021 season: https://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/89835/invitation?key=d047037914285994&soc_trk=lnk&ikey=9f85e4758ce2bda5https://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/89835/invitation?key=d047037914285994&soc_trk=lnk&ikey=9f85e4758ce2bda5 We're drafting on Sunday at 4pm.
12. The trailer makes the movie look it bit cornier than it really is, but gives a sense of the movie's greatness.
13. I love Breaking Away but it's been about 20 years since I last watched. I never saw Bad News Bears but I tried to watch it with my son a couple of months ago and he asked me to turn it off about 15 minutes in. I don't think the constant use of ethnic slurs appealed to either one of us.
14. Also handy is https://www.justwatch.com/us JustWatch, a search engine where you can search for a movie and find where it's available to stream for free with ads, stream with a subscription, or rent a stream.
15. I saw it a long time ago. Movies with psychotic murderers as protagonists don't resonate well with me. The ratings are entirely subjective, obviously. I've never heard of Putney Swope, but it looks good!
16. I put together a https://othemts.wordpress.com/movie-reviews/list of every movie I've ever watched (that I can remember) with ratings and links to movies I've reviewed, should anyone be interested.
17. I also hated Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House which seemed to be about the First World Problems of Yuppies before Yuppies were even defined. And I love Cary Grant and Myrna Loy. I felt bad for them being in that movie. I hope they were well-renumerated.
18. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: I remember seeing this new in the theater and absolutely hating it. Was I wrong? I remember seeing this on cable circa 1987 and thinking it was beyond stupid. Not sure I can muster up enough goodwill to revisit it.
19. I should add TCM to my cable subscription, although I already have more than enough movies that I want to watch on streaming sources.
20. Well, Pyle wasn't obedient to Hartman in the end.
21. R. Lee Ermey was pretty much born to play this role.
22. Probably wasn't necessary, but if they're going to give us more time with these toys, then at least they did it well. Better than 2, but not as good as 1 or 3. I think my only disappointment is that the core group of toys - Jessie, Rex, Hamm, Slinky Dog, and the Potato Heads, and even Buzz to a certain extent - all get sidelined for new characters. Although the new characters are good too.
23. I read the book ages ago and can't imagine it as a movie. And if it's a different story, apparently the filmmakers couldn't imagine it as a movie either.
24. I started in the middle, jumped around, and then went back to watch the early ones for completions sake. If I had watched them in order I probably would've given up because the movies of the first five or six years aren't very good for the most part. I've found that watching more of the movies enriched the overall universe storyline but most of the movies are good enough as standalones that viewing order isn't essential and you won't miss anything by skipping the bad ones. I'd consider the following to be the ones most worth watching: Captain America: The First Avenger Guardians of the Galaxy (if you like this one, then also watch the sequel) Ant-Man (if you like this one, watch Ant-Man and Wasp too) Spider-Man: Homecoming (if you like this one, watch Far From Home too) Thor: Ragnarok Black Panther Captain Marvel And the four Avengers movies and Captain America: Civil War, which are the big crossover movies. You should probably also watch Captain America: The Winter Soldier because most people love it and I seem to be the only one who thinks it "meh."
