  2. Odd move, but counting on Logan Verrett isn't a championship-level move for us, honestly. Had good flashes, but dude was 3-8, 5.20 last year. Best wishes in your new adventure, Logan.
  3. I could see a team that needs a "veteran leadership" type guy taking a flier on Granderson if the Mets eat money. I like him a lot and I'd be sad to see him go, honestly.
  4. I can't see the Mets signing another big OF of any kind without letting one go somewhere first. As it is, you've got five guys for three spots.

Frayed Knot wrote: The contract is reportedly backloaded: ESPN wrote: Cespedes will receive a full no-trade clause and will make $22.5 million in 2017, $29 million in 2018 and 2019 and $29.5 million in 2020, sources told ESPN's Adam Rubin and Jerry Crasnick. While Wright's is front-loaded [20M; 20M; 15M; 12M] so the two will more or less balance themselves out over the next four seasons. 2017 Wright + Cespedes = 42.5 M 2018 = 49 M 2019 = 44.5 M 2020 = 41.5 M That's good, because in the 2017-18 offseason they'll be selling a lot of WORLD CHAMPS shirts.
  6. Sure. 7. I would rather vote for Clemens than Schilling.
  8. 1999 2B is probably Alomar too.
  9. 2009 is, sadly, Jason Bay.
  10. 2000 2B is Roberto Alomar.
  11. Voted. Remember we have to post if we voted so we know a percentage of actual voters. Bagwell Bonds (yeah, I did it) Guerrero Martinez Raines Ramirez Rodriguez Stairs (he's not ACTUALLY a HOFer, and I know that. But he's one of my all-time favorites.) Walker Someone with a convincing case for Hoffman could swing my tenth vote, and so could someone for Jeff Kent even though I don't like him.
  12. We teach that "fall down on the mound" move. It's kind of our thing.
  13. Nobody grounded into double plays in big spots better.
  14. I've long felt like Taijeron could be a useful part for someone. A Mark Carreon-type of 250 AB/12 HR bench/platoon OF kind of guy.
  15. The 92 3B is Sheffield.
  16. 1993 P Tom Glavine?
  17. And that means 2005's 2B is probably Jeff Kent too.
  18. Jeez, I already forgot about Bruce. I'll take Bruce in the OF in '12 too. (I feel badly getting all these strings, but not that badly.)
  19. 91 P Glavine?
  20. 88 P Hershiser?
  21. 2003 P Hampton
  22. What the heck, let's go for it. 2002 Jeff Kent 2B
  23. 2001 Kent
  24. 2002 Hampton
  25. Vic Sage wrote: And it wouldn't have to be a CFer; it could be a catcher. "I miss you, Vic."
