Fwife took the kids, they all liked it. I skip all kids movies in favor of naps.
  2. I liked 'Generations," personally. I thought it was a good bridge from the TOS cast to the TNG. Plus Malcomb McDowell.
  3. Throwing this out there again, as we've had two owners depart and therefore have two slots available. Join a FFL league with Ceetar and I and 9 people you don't know and earn a chance to win big! Most rules remain unchanged, though we bumped the price up to $85. I think Ceetar would attest that it's a good league. PM me here or on FB if interested.

  5. I got one new owner so there is still one slot available if wanted.
  6. I am the commish of a league that has been in existence since 2001, consisting of current and former coworkers of mine as well as friends brought in by previous owners. There's a $65 buy in, plus three optional $5 mini pools that pay out to the first team with an active player that 1. hits for the cycle, 2. hits 3 HRs in a game, or 3. throws a no hitter, so $80 maximum buy in. Payout is 65%/25%/10% for the top 3 slots. We keep five players at the round they were drafted in last year and only allow 1 keeper from the first four rounds, to circulate talent back into the draft each year, and have a two time keeper limit, so every player returns to the draft at least once every 3 years. Full league rules and info found here. Mixed league, 5x5 roto scoring, Yahoo for league management. http://nateshouse.no-ip.biz/fbl/2015.html We had two owners (out of 13) drop out that played last year and so I am looking for at least one new owner and possibly two. If we only get one we'd allow them to pick 5 keepers from both abandoned rosters as well as get the better of the two draft slots (3rd overall and in all odd numbered rounds, serpentine style). If two are interested the first one to speak up would get choice. We email draft the first 10-11 rounds between March 6-20 and then finish with a live online draft, on Saturday 3/21 at 5 PM. A few owners will come over to draft at the house but most do it remote via email, AIM chat or by sending me pre-ranked lists if they are not available. It's a fun league and it'd be great to get someone from this site to join the fun. Payment made via check or Paypal. Any interest? Respond or send me a PM if so.
  7. I enjoy it, as it's said above, for the minor parts... while Slater and Arquette are the focal points they are pretty vanilla. All of the really enjoyable parts are the surrounding cast and bit players -- Oldman, Rappaport, Pitt, Gandolfini, Val Kilmer as Elvis, Hopper, Walken, Saul Rubinek, Pinchot, Chris Penn and Tom Sizemore as the cops, etc. That's what makes it SO great.
  8. Not nearly as good as the first installment. The kids enjoyed it though. I gave it 6/10.
  9. A movie I've often meant to seek out and watch and never have.
  10. Two that come to mind from my younger days are TRON and JACOB'S LADDER.
  11. I graduated high school 21 years ago and I read this book in either 9th or 10th grade. I haven't thought much about it since -- as a 15/16 year old it was over my head, and the Redford movie put me to sleep too.
  12. I hope he still says "See you at the party, Richter!" The original is my all time favorite Ah-nold movie.
  13. I bailed. Too slow, too painful. Good luck all.
  14. Hey is this league NL only or AL/NL?
  15. Please make it no earlier than 7:30 on a weeknight. On a weekend, I could go later.
  16. Maybe I'm just intoxicated but hell. I've dated women less complicated than this draft/league.
  17. In!

  19. Lots of good looking wool. Mets prospects are getting fucked. So, they have something in common with Mets fans.
  20. Well, since I already run a local 14 team keeper league here in town I won't be taking up management of another one, thanks. Yahoo does have keeper league options. I've preferred them for many years to ESPN's league management, though I'll admit I don't know CBS. They were a for-pay service for the longest time. I'd be up for playing again in 2012, and if you want someone to set up a free Yahoo site league I can do it as I did the last few years. I am also fine with cutting the number of active slots to make it easier to find talent on the waiver wire.

  22. Still mad that Flash Gordon didn't spawn four or five sequels with Brian Blessed, Timothy Dalton, the return of Max Von Sydow and album after album of kickass Queen songs. Perhaps my favorite childhood superhero movie, with all apologies to General Zod and Co.
  23. I'm doing the same 3 I did last year... 1. The CPF NL only 2. A head to head league, online, that ABNS brought me in on with some of his West coast homies 3. A 14 team money league ($65 entry) with keepers that I've run since 2002. First 14 rounds done via email, the last 14 done live online and in person at the Fman household... This one is my obsession...
  24. I did. I lurve my team.
  25. Tomorrow, 9:30 PM Eastern time. Should be fun. A point of info... I did another live draft last night on Yahoo and had issues using Chrome to open the draft applet. Using Firefox did the trick.
