  1. Absolutely. And I thought last Sunday's defeat was bad! This takes the cake-- Lets see what we're made of and if we can bounce back tomorrow like the MFY did today.
  2. Motherfather. Their Sandman is better than our Sandman.
  3. ]I'd run Endy here. Agreed.
  4. You are correct, sir!
  5. Miguel Cairo, true Yanqui, enters the game.
  6. ]DocTee wrote: Thats a golden sombrero for Gee-I-Am-Bi Only 3. But still a fine performance nonetheless. I thought 3 was golden, and 4 was platinum.
  7. Thats a golden sombrero for Gee-I-Am-Bi
  8. Joe Pignataro?
  9. ]Heilman only threw 18 pitches. 1 more? Hells yeah-- he wants back in the rotation, here's his chance to show he can go more than 2 innings.
  10. That Seaver-- he sure is a stud muffin.
  11. UMDB down?! Went to check some stats and got an error messgae-- here's hoping it's only fleeting (thats where I first learned of CPF by the way).
  12. Spot on. I'd keep Wright where he is due to his fielding. And we're grading performance, not potential. What's your grade for Willie??
  13. ][TransMonk wrote: Trachsel deserved better tonight. Mets haven't scored a run in either of Trax's last two starts.
  14. Sir Paul's too busy crying over his busted marriage to croon for the CPF
  15. ]DocTee wrote: Hard for Glavine to get the win when he was lifted after 6. Is he not in line for this decision? Apparently so-- I stand corrected.
  16. iIve always said that rather than intentionally walking him they should throw at him!
  17. How many drunken posters are left at the CPF??
  18. Hard for Glavine to get the win when he was lifted after 6. I'm Garry Templeton--charter member of the superfluous letter team-- "if I ain't startin, i ain't departin'"--
  19. ]Since 1999, when Erickson closed out his fourth consecutive 200-inning season for the Orioles and was worth five wins according to Clay Davenports system, the right-hander has missed two complete seasons to injury, and those two are his best work in that span. Classic line.
  20. ]I was a a Mothers Day party at my sister's place, I bring my 6 month year old nephew over to the TV to watch a little ball. JUST at the moment Hall cracks the game winner! A moment later I hear a cry from my little guy, and I say "Well, must be a Met fan!"And a jinx-- keep him away from the set when the Mets are on.
  21. This sucks-- heading into a tough part of the schedule too. I have a feeling this will be the 2006 equivalent of that deflating loss vs. Pittsburgh last year. You have to beat the also-rans if you are a serious contender-- the Yankees made a cottage industry out of drubbing Kansas City and Tampa Bay for years; we need to clean house against Washington, Florida and win series from the Milwaukees of the world. This blows.
  22. Four runs on three hits; Zvon's right: walks and errors do kill.
  23. Are we still calling for Valentin to ride the pine today in favor of Woodward??
  24. Valentin: 3 Beltran: 2.5 LoDuca: 2 Gonzalez: 1.5 Wagner: 1
  25. Thanks, dude-- Variety=spice of life.
