  1. You were never sure if you were going to get Good Dice-K or Bad Dice-K. Useful in spurts, and despite his erratic use never told Terry Collins to f*ck himself, at least not in English.
  2. Billy's a Yankee fan through and through. That's why it bugged me that he played the last concert at Shea. He's a Met fan in the same way Billy Crystal was a Met fan in City Slickers; it was convenient at the time.
  3. Well, Flores and Herrera are pretty decent options to have. Murphy's good but not great offensively, and defensively he's scary. Flores has nothing left to prove at AAA. I understand the Murphy love, but I just can't see how signing him to a long-term deal is in the Mets' best interests. Because if you DON'T trade him this winter, and DON'T sign him to a longer-term deal, it's just a waste.
  4. Murphy's a guy you trade even if you don't have cheap-ass owners. Replacements are available in-house, he's approaching free-agency, and he has some value to potentially bring back a piece you need. I don't hate him, I respect that he's a hard worker and a grinder that made himself into a second baseman by sheer force of will, but he's not getting a long-term deal and they need to move on.
  5. 6 HR, 18 RBI in 53 AB's against the Mets last year. Yeah, I'm glad to see him go. Guess Zimmerman slides over to first now.
  6. Owleo Franco! Still dead!
  7. Carlos (Danger) Beltram!
  8. Dug Mientkiewicz!
  9. Billy Butler, late of your American League Champion Kansas City Royals (I will never get tired of that) signs with the A's for 3 yrs/$30 mil. http://www.mlbdailyrumors.com/the-latest/source-billy-butler-agrees-to-three-year-30-million-deal-with-athletics
  10. Hm. I guess the humor eludes me.
  11. Even with the answer I still can't figure out who this guy is. Brother Theodore. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABO5G6N-er4

  13. Hard to figure that trade for the Cubs unless a lot more dominoes are falling.

  16. I'd forgotten that Arabic Earsand played for the Mets in the early 80's. Of course, there's a lot I've forgotten about the early 80's.
