  1. I leave my house at 6:25 AM. West Coast games are dead to me. But I always make sure my Diet Peach Snapple is securely ensconced in my cup holder before backing out of the driveway. Hey, it's made from the best stuff on earth, they tell me.
  2. The appliances weren't the only thing stacked for convenience.
  3. Maybe it's just the lighting, but that garden gnome looks a little, ahem, excited. Excitable Garden Gnome!!! No?
  4. Nats won 2-0, pushing the Mets half a game in the rear view. Outside of that I got nothin'. These West Coast games I just check the Interwebz for scores in the morning.
  5. Looks like it'll be sunny.
  6. I hate the Padres because they started the whole camo-uniform trend.
  7. Loved the pillow and miniature police barriers for his arm.
  8. Ingredients Servings 4 4 marlin steaks 4 garlic cloves, minced 4 tablespoons olive oil 1?2 lime, juice of, plus 1 lime, juice of 1 1?2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 green onion, choopped 1?2 mango, chopped 1?4 teaspoon salt 1?2 red peppers or 1?2 green pepper, chopped 1?4 red onion, chopped 1 -2 teaspoon fresh Harvey Directions Rub fish with garlic and leave garlic on fish. In pan or large ziploc, combine olive oil, juice of 1/2 lime, soy sauce, and green onion. Add fish and marinate about 1 hour. In medium bowl, combine juice of 1 lime, mango, onion, salt, sweet pepper, and parsley. Chill while fish is marinating. Grill marlin over medium heat about 7-8 minutes per side. Top with fruit salsa and serve.
  9. I just don't think a 6-man rotation is viable over the long term. It leaves you with either a short bench or a short bullpen.
  10. I'm fine with it for a little while. Weakest link goes to the bullpen. In any case, there's no way this persists past the trade deadline. It's to showcase all three of Niese, Gee and Colon, hopefully enticing someone to make a trade. Preferably they trade two of the three, making room for Matz in a five-man rotation.
  11. My favorite moment was Duda's second home run. Before the ball has even left the yard, Gary's into his excited home run call voice, and Ronnie in the background says 'ohh', a gut reaction from the pitcher in him who knows what it's like to have a pitch you've just thrown get absolutely crushed. http://m.mlb.com/video/v134169983/phinym-mets-hit-four-homers-syndergaards-first/?game_pk=414353
  12. They need to feast on Fish now.
  13. Mission accomplished.
  14. Can we play the Phillies, like, a hundred more times please?
  15. Off to a flying start with 2K's in the 1st.
  16. Well, even a no-hitter's not a guaranteed win these days.
  17. Dillon Gee for a serviceable third baseman. Do it, Omar. David Wright's injuries are like Russian nesting dolls. First it's the hammy, then a sore back, then spinal stenosis. Can't wait to see what the next doll is.
  18. When I first saw this I thought it was 'Lednier Ricardo, International Man of Mystery'. And I thought, YEAH BABY!!!!!!
  19. He should be wearing a Mets helmet.
  20. Well, this team has done absolutely nothing on offense for a month now. And the players we might have traded to make room for the up-and-coming have either sucked or been injured. There are two outfielders who aren't pulling their weight and I want to see them sit for a while. Cuddy and Grandy are 'great clubhouse guys' but they're killing this team.
  21. "Mr. Matz, white courtesy phone....."
  22. Glad Recker's on the bench so Steve Gelbs has someone to talk to.
