  1. I'm sorry, we're currently out of stock on timely hits. Try again later.
  2. Well, that was a bullet dodged. Thanks, Chooch. Verrett labored mightily, but held them to two runs over six.
  3. Get 'em on, hit 'em into the tailor-made double play.
  4. Can we hit Granderson 8th? I mean, he can still hit solo home runs there.
  5. Wonder when he explained to her that not all 'beards' are grown on the chin.
  6. For Huntington, who's generally perceived as one of the more astute GM's, to go off the reservation like that, means either Niese pissed him off or he's even worse than he looks. Or both. Either way, his trade value is virtually zero now. Even if he was free, though, I wouldn't want him back. I'd rather take my chances with Verrett or Gilmartin or Ynoa and hope for a Wheeler sighting eventually.
  7. Hey, Granderson failed with RISP. That's unusual. Not.
  8. STL plays the Fish and PIT plays the Nats this weekend. So it'll be an interesting couple of days.
  9. Sox certainly not screwing around this year, are they?
  10. Please no more Niese. I was tired of him and happy when he left. Plus he bad-mouthed the Mets on his way out the door. Someone else please.
  11. 40. La Potencia.
  12. I'd prefer that it didn't count for anything, like every other exhibition game.
  13. In the Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, a closeted gay construction worker hits on Titus Andromedon (a definitely out gay character) by saying he reminds him of 'Former Met Carlos Delgado'. They're both black and bald, but that's kinda where the similarities end.
  14. Lotta Stroh's being downed that day. Love the guy rolling a joint with a broken arm. That's skillz.
  15. Didn't watch a second. Glad I didn't miss anything.
  16. Well, I wasn't too far off. OPS with RISP- .490 OPS with RISP and 2 out- .330 Them's some bad numbers.
  17. Centerfield wrote: Hey how about an Honorable Mention to Granderson for getting his OPS up around .800. Not bad. Yeah, but his OPS with runners in scoring position is about .200.
  18. Yoenis for sure. Agreed that Cabrera's a nice surprise, but Cespedes is doing exactly what they got him to do. And that's a good thing.
  19. If Jon Bon Jovi could really turn back time, would he tell his agent that he wanted no part of those weird Time Warner commercials?
  20. Is there a record for most solo home runs in a season? Because whatever it is, I'm sure the Mets will threaten it if not break it entirely.
  21. Rosario looking like the real deal, ready just as Cabrera Asdrubals off into the sunset.
  22. Winning small amounts of money is preferable to eating dog food.
  23. Mets Guy in Michigan wrote: You knew the game was over when DeAza was the final batter. If he's still on the roster when we return from the break, I'll be disappointed. Exactly. He's gotta go.
  24. Frayed Knot wrote: NYM pitchers last successful sacrifice bunt was? - sometime earlier this year - about a decade ago - during the Bush administration sometime ... the elder Bush. - I don't remember which one specifically, but it coincided with one of the moon landings You may choose one of the above. Well whatever it was, the streak continues. Pathetic.
