  3. Hey, maybe Cabrera's feeling the heat. Whatever works.

  5. Absolutely no margin for error with this team.
  6. Taking the temperature of GKR last night, I got the feeling that Ron was in favor, Keith against and Gary was in the middle. Ron's point was that this is the only place Jose can succeed. He'd built up enough good will here previously that it would mitigate the personal stuff. Anywhere else, it would be 'wife-beater Jose Reyes' without that reservoir of past performance to draw on. Not to be construed as an endorsement. I'd still prefer Dilson.

  8. Separated at birth? Eric Goeddel and Aaron Heilman?
  9. Mets are only allowed to hit solo home runs. Asdruboom was the other.
  10. Nice job by Goeddel to squirm out of it with the lead.
  11. Robles out for another inning? Tempting fate, Terry.
  12. Bastardo warming in the pen. I have fear.
  13. F no on Braun.
  14. Robles is pitching well but you get the feeling he could blow up at any second.
  15. So they call up a long guy who just pitched Sunday and isn't available? And their starter goes out after 4 pitches? Well, alrighty then.

He'd have to play third because you're not going to play two people out of position. I have no idea how well he'd do over there (and neither does anyone else). Even his vastly-diminished tools play better than most of the roster right now, which is kind of scary.
  17. Boy, Votto's dangerous with that long contract (2023!!!) and injury history.
  18. Agree. I'm done with Plawecki. He certainly can't say he didn't get a chance. Lagares was one of the few people who was hitting before he went down, so when he's back he's got to get more playing time. I'm okay with Conforto going down; he just needs to get his head straight and he'll be fine. I want to get rid of Granderson. I'm just tired of it. How can you have 13 HR's and only 21 RBI? That's virtually impossible to do. He just is a total fail with runners on base. And the noodle arm in right also makes no sense. He's always 'just about to turn the corner' but never does. Yeah, lots of lead-off home runs but bla, bla, bla, nothing else. The bullpen blows very few games for this team. But every starting pitcher knows if he gives up a run or two he's screwed.
  19. At some point you have to stop tipping your cap and say, "We need to make some changes around here".
  20. Boy, I wonder if Andy Grammer decided to bag the concert after that stinker.
  21. Man, this team really tests your patience.
  22. Wow, got tickets from a vendor for 7/30- Mike's number 31 getting retired. But oh, the irony- we'll be in section 134, one of the few places where you won't be able to see it directly as we'll be right behind the numbers by the [crossout:13t8prh0]Party City[/crossout:13t8prh0] M&M's deck.
