  1. Rick Waits for the Aaron Harang, only to have Robinson Cancel.
  2. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: Trying to learn a little more about Seth Lugo's cute Girly, Amanda. Judging from her social posts she's a bartender from Louisiana and got together with Seth about 2 years ago, at which point her social timeline went from posts about partying, electronic dance music, smoking weed and her cats to "I am supporting the dreams of the man I love." What if the man she loves hates cats......?
  3. Need to step on the gas here. They won the first two games with walk-ons, now they need the pros to finish the job.
  4. Jim Henderson, don't let the screen door hit ya. You had one job to do- get three outs and give Familia the night off. You failed.
  5. Terry plays with dynamite (Robles) and gets away with it.
  6. Rene Rivera, resembling a WB Mason truck in low gear.
  7. Of course, what's unspoken but inferred is that Ol' Case was drunk as a skunk when he fell and broke that hip. That 'stamina' he refers to was about being able to drink anybody else under the table at Toots Shor's. And hey, $90,000 in 1965 was a pretty good piece of change for a manager.
  8. That's a violation of the Verne Ruhle!
  9. A Darren O'Day keeps the doctor away.
  10. Nice guy, that Bob Friend.
  11. Junior Noboa never owned a snake. And if only Esix Snead were a shortstop.....
  12. Well, they dodged the bullet.
  13. Would it kill Jay Bruce to have a good game? Would it? Especially against an illiterate pitcher?
  14. Strike-thrower was Montero's rep before he came up in 2014. But in the majors he's walked 35 in 61.2 innings. That's, um, not good. He's got the stuff, he just has trouble controlling it. He was keeping the ball down, but bounced too many pitches.
  15. One thing about Montero's start was that he was definitely getting squeezed by the ump (in fairness, both pitchers were). With a bigger strike zone he might have gone longer. Good thing they won it in the 10th, because any longer would have been a disaster.
  16. Need a dinger here. Keith's getting anxious about getting home late.
  17. Not liking our chances with no position players and only shaky bullpen pitchers left.
  18. Defensible. deGrom looked like he was out of gas. Of course, Montero starts with an empty tank.
  19. Boy, Montero dances between the raindrops to get through five innings somehow.
  20. Montero showing the same things he's shown before. Too many frickin' walks.
  21. The kid was great. Didn't even get flustered when Gary kept asking him questions.
  22. This offseason, the Mets need to get a catcher. d'Arnaud just sucks.
  23. Shaky first inning, but he got through it. Have the bullpen ready, Terry.
