Have you guys ever been this down about the team? Maybe after game 7 last year but never in the regular season. This is an historic collapse, and yeah, it can turn around tomorrow but why should it? Pedro isn't going 9 so eventually, the bullpen door opens and all hell breaks loose. It's not the hitting, despite Reyes' struggles, it's all pitching. Other than Ollie last Saturday, the starters can't go 7 or 8 and the bullpen can't do anything right. We sensed it in the off-season when Omar didn't get another starter, but we said "In Omar We Trust." He lost Bradford when the stupid Orioles gave him 3 years and the Mets wouldn't but we fell in love with Joe Smith. We sensed that something was wrong when he gave Mota 2 years but, again, we trusted Omar. That fat faced, smug, jerk Boden (they keep showing him on MASN sitting in the box seats) wanted F. Martinez or Gomez and Humber for Cordero or Rauch. We said "too much" but if they had either, maybe the pen could have gotten a key out sometime last week. I think it's safe to safe that our trust in Omar has greatly diminished. I'm venting and rambling and I apologize, but it's like seeing the same game, over and over, for two weeks straight. 3 and a half hours of hell.
